8904 -- OK, I will state the obvious and what everyone is already thinking:
If Ralph cannot stomach that knee injury, there is no way he could handle what is apt to happen Saturday. ;) (And we all understand both, Ralph. :P)
Of course, anything can happen, but if this were Las Vegas it would be "off the board".
Not really a bad dog. Just misunderstood!

baddog,

lol
two things.
1.  Ralph is a practicing physician and a former army Dr.  I'm sure he's seen much worse.
2.  Ralph has been to UMHB-McM games before and handled it, surely it can't get any worse this Saturday.
;D
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I remind you guys that my specific comment was about the "human carpentry".

Saws, screws, hammers, etc.   :D

First AFCA D3 poll of the season is out.  South Region teams of interest:

3.    Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas)    2-0   897
7.    Muhlenberg (Pa.)    2-0   602
11.    Washington & Jefferson (Pa.)    3-0   567
12.    Hardin-Simmons (Texas)    3-0   438
16.    Trinity (Texas)    2-0   347
17.    Millsaps (Miss.)    3-0   333
20.    Wesley (Del.)    1-1   304

No votes for any other SCAC team; Louisiana College got 1 25th-place vote.

etbualum,
I am for certain that Preston has stats from 2002, and 2003, before Harris canned him in about week 10 or so. He caught a screen for about an 60yd TD against mcmurry in 2002, and also caught a TD in the massacre at SRSU in 2003 where Huckaby hit that poor kid and ended his career. You might want to check me on this but Iam almost for certain on these events. Maybe in 2002 he quit or did not play after about 4 games, which MIGHT, maybe, qualify him for a redshirt, but I do not think he was ever legally classified as a redshirt by the NCAA or ETBU AD.

etbualum

Yeah I was sure he was here for two years. I guess he didnt go anywhere in between.  If that is the case good for him.  I am fairly certain he quit rather than getting canned.  Those teams for etbu were pretty deep at WR.

What's it look like for MC starting a freshman QB against HSU?

This may be old news and common knowledge on the ASC board but I just read and ESPN.com article about Friday Night Lights and the writer mentioned in an interview with the quarterback character Matt Saracen that his on-field double is played by a Former Trinity QB.  Anyone know who that former Trinity QB is?  I tried some Google searches and other websites without any luck.

Just curious.  Thanks guys.

I'd like to point out that all 3 are sophomores.

I am glad I did not pay for the viscious beat-down I knew UMHB would bring.  I am encouraged that TLU at least put 7 points on the board.  When will TLU learn to spend the money for coaches with stellar winning recors and not coaches who are friends of the university.  This is discouraging.  At least UMHB searched hard and found a high quality coach in Fred and was willing to pay for a coach that can produce results.

Did TLU look as bad as the score shows?

Amen.  That was a sorry performance from SOME players and MOST coaches.  I 've been around football for a while and that was one of the worst productions I've ever seen.  No one should have a starting position.  How can your starting ILB finish the game with 0 tackles and your OLB have just 3 assist.  I always thought "you play to win the game" and if the players on the field ain't getting it, then you find the one's that will.  Where is Coach Jennings?

My favorite quote from the Temple Daily Telegram article about the UMHB - TLU game:

The Crusaders (2-0) rushed for 437 yards, ripping through the Bulldogs (1-2) with a combination of effective option plays and powerful dives up the middle.

"It wouldn't have mattered if they'd have had my wife back there because we couldn't tackle anybody," TLU coach Dennis Parker said. "It didn't matter who they put back there because we couldn't tackle anybody they had.

"Even at the end of the game, when they had their JV in there, we couldn't tackle them."

The article does say the preliminary call on Daniels is torn ACL & MCL.   :P

That's funny.  And what's more comical, they have done absolutely nothing to fix it this week.  Everyone on D kept their jobs.
