congrats UMHB and good luck the rest of the way!!!  Again another classic between these two teams.  What else would you expect??

CruAlum90

Congrats CRU!  That was a hell of a ball game.  HSU played thier butts off, i was impressed with thier offense.  9-2 with thier only two loses at the hands of UMHB by a combined 5 points, thats pretty rough.  UMHB 9 of the last 10, thats dominating, Thats Crusader football!!
"What are they gonna do......... not start me?"

I would like to say congrats to HSU on a good season.  They were very impressive on both sides on the ball on Saturday.  UMHB pinned their offense back deep 3 times and HSU found a way to drive the field and score.  The defense did a nice job of stopping the inside power game and the option of the CRU for the most part.  One of the biggest surprises of the day was UMHB's offense being able to convert when they needed to by passing the ball.

I think the game was decided by the one turnover of the ballgame, better special teams play UMHB, and a special teams mistake by HSU.

I think Feaster is the best quarterback I have seen at HSU.  Very mobile and very accurate.  Maybe not quite as good of a pocket passer as Neal, but definitely makes up for it with his feet.  He hurt the CRU many times when they were caught in a zone coverage scheme and allowed him 10 to 15 yards before the defense could rally back to him.

YOU KNOW IT!!!!

Yes, Feaster was very agile and had great foot work.  When scrambling, his ability to square his shoulders and get the ball down the field accurately was great.  He was very fleet of foot, scrambling away from our defenders.  UMHB will definatley need to address that this week.

Once again, our defenders aren't looking back for the ball, narrowly missing some PI penalties in my opinion.  Why do our defenders give so much space at the line? We need to bump these guys a little bit, throw them off their route.  Our middle zone with our linebackers was pretty porous at times.

On the offensive side, the play action worked well, especially on that crossing route that led to the long touchdown.  I loved to see that.  Saenz, at times, can be very accurate, and that is nice to see.  BT looked great again in the backfield.

Go Cru! Bring on Wesley!
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

And all this band noise, and noise maker crap needs to shut up.  I was at a stadium sat night with 85,000+ screaming fans and i couldnt hear myself think but guess what they still played the game.  Do you think Mike Leach or Bob Stoops were complaining to the AA about all the noise.  So stop making excuses and realize hey it was a great played game and HSU had a couple mistakes and UMHB capitalized on them and won.  Guess what we get to do it all over again next year, TWICE.  GEEEEZ Grow up!!

CruAlum51

Congrats to HSU on a great season.

Way to go CRU, good luck to you in the next round!  Go Cru!!
Play Hard or Go Home!

i agree, the talk about noisemakers and bands has certainly gone on for too long.

how about the game?  how does umhb cover the pass?  both teams seem to stop the run so it looks like the team that is able to move the ball through the air will have the advantage.  wesley is able to do that, can umhb?  looks like umhb gave up a lot of yards through the air last week.  wesley really stepped up its play in the secondary this week and kept the muhlenberg Qb in the pocket.  they had looked susceptible to the pass earlier in the year.  crualum39 says that umhb had trouble with a scrambling Qb which wesley is using this year instead of the pocket passer from last year.

it looks like it will be a good game and i cant wait to be there to see it.

Teamski

I sure wish I could be there myself.  Both teams are going to match up really well, and it will be a tough-fought game, that is certain.

roocru, good.  will you be at the game on saturday?  we will have to get together before it if you are.  if not, give me some good info on restaurants and such in the umhb area.  we will also be at the stagg this year.

Great BBQ here http://www.schoepfsbbq.com/ Wesleydad.
Here is another great place to eat. Overlooks Lake Belton, plenty of big screens to watch games. 5 minutes from the stadium. http://www.deadfishgrill.com/

How do they determine who host the home game, example a #2 seed in east wins and #2 seed in north wins their respective regions?

Another question... Is there any chance of On-line viewing of the Wesley/MHB game, or is it going to be audio only?

Pat Coleman

If equal seeds advance, East hosts North and South hosts West. This is not a rotation, it's set at the beginning of the playoffs based on how the NCAA seeds the top team in each bracket.
