Mr. Ypsi

rc,

Sickie that I am, I reward TRULY abominable puns with points - here you go!

Knightstalker

You have to wonder what Guy Sack' fathers name is and if he has a brother named Harry.

"In the end we will survive rather than perish not because we accumulate comfort and luxury but because we accumulate wisdom"  Colonel Jack Jacobs US Army (Ret).

John McGraw

Here's one that you don't see anymore. Nice to see someone's last name mean the same thing as what they do.

Rowan WR Dustin Katcher

Good thing he doesn't play baseball

K-Mack

Minus -1 for not paying attention Mac. Apparently you do see that anymore.

I trust Will Block played OL (or perhaps FB)?  ;)

Minus one to you sir.  Will Block was a RB not a OL or FB.  You chose to cite a quote that was a speculation.

Kettle meet pot.   Pot may I introduce you to kettle?
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

Mr. Ypsi

K Mack,

I consider it a SERIOUS violation of ethics to post a "quote" which is in fact an altered quotation - posters may compare my ACTUAL post (next-to-last post on page 4) with what K Mack 'quoted'.

Is there any reason you can give why we should trust your column anymore?

What are you talking about???  The quote KMack pulled is the same one I pulled above.  It was from Page 2 on Oct. 3.  I agree that it is not easy to believe most of what KMack says though.  Who is that guy anyways? ;)

OMG!  My humblest apologies to K-Mack (and, though I could delete my post, I'll leave it there as a reminder of my transgression!) - I had a total brain-fart and read 'Will Block' as the recently discussed 'Guy Sack'.

K-Mack, OBVIOUSLY I retract my statement about your column.  Sorry!

rc, thanks for the catch - MAN, is my face red!  (I must be posting too early - my transgressions are LESS egregious at 2 in the morning!)

Is this a black joke?   :o

Moving on ... Not that I necessarily agree that message boards should be held to the same standards as journalistic quoting/double-sourcing, etc ... I didn't remember altering that quote, so I'm glad that got resolved.

As far as my column, I thought you were kidding ... usually though, it's the other way around. Someone is kidding, and some reads it literally.

Oft are the message board posts mis-read, without voice inflection. I have friends in a fantasy league that fight every week about how they weren't sounding angry, but the other guy totally was ... and just missed the joke, etc.

So ... um ... heard any interesting names lately?

Defiance College (HCAC) has a wide receiver named Scooter Curtis, a DL named Joseph Borer and an OL named Pent Pearl. I would definitely NOT tease the last guy about his name, either.

Mr. Ypsi

JF,

The first two names DO sound apt, and I'll take your advice NOT to make fun of the third name!  (I don't think I've ever been dumb enough to mock a lineman!)  ;)

Heres one of my favorites--- Millikin U. - Dortanian Blunt - LB

splik

the starting defensive tackles from Albright three years ago - Benditt and Strokoff.  Sounds kinda dirty to me
