Out in Cal Lu (California)----- THere's a Charlie Brown, no linnus though.  He's short and stubby just like the character.

As for a team name

WHitter POETS have been mentioned four times in the past years about colleges with funny mascots during a hit early morning show. The broadcasters, Kevin and Bean from KROQ in Los Angeles ripped the schools mascot and declared them the most soft mascot and school around LA.

I was interested (read: bored) enough to do some digging.  The General spells his name differently -- "Schwarzkopf."  So maybe not, unfortunately.
