To revive an old thread:

North Park has a recruit coming in named Steve Brusky.  This may not seem so interesting, except that he is from Milwaukee!

(A tip of the hat to matblake for the find.)

Pretty sure that's been mentioned on this thread before. It's definitely a favorite.

Huntingdon has posted an updated roster on their website. Shows an incoming freshman; #18 Taurus Ford.

One of may all time favorites (Since I see Kramer mentioned here) was a player for Susquehanna in the mid 80s, whose name was Cosmo Iacavazzi(sp?)

As a broadcaster, I would get him in as many plays as I could...

Been seeing some good ones while browsing. Thanks for kicking this thread up Hawks ... will be sure to "file a report" here after reading/editing Kickoff. Maybe while, as a break from it.

I try to leave corny at home when I'm on-air, but I admit, it happens.

That Motel 6 commercial that's out now with the announcers kind of reminds me of being on the road with Pat.

Can I play a different name game?

What about best team names? Or most unique?

Corsairs, Yeomen, Poets, Sagehens ... they're different.

Least imaginative: Johnnies, Tommies, Lutes, etc.

Most repetitive (here's the game I really want to play)

Pioneers: Grinnell, Carroll, Utica, Widener ... who am I forgetting?

Yellow Jackets: Defiance, Randolph-Macon, Waynesburg, Howard Payne, Rochester

Bulldogs: Adrian, Redlands, TLU

The all teams link for whoever cares to look (doing mine off the top): http://www.d3football.com/schools.php

The most original, Cal Lutheran Kingsmen. No other school, high school or college, has it.

William Paterson is also the Pioneers.

There are plenty of Knights out there, but so far NJCU is the only Gothic Knights I have seen.
