Looks like a very nice facility.......I am assuming everyone gets to sit on the same side of the field? The field looks great.....is that real grass of the fake.

Here's an overhead view

Football mecca from the Air ;D

We have always had home fans on both sides of the field, even in the years when we didn't need to (60's and 70's)

I thought the Muskies were running a "Prevent" offense the last couple of years. That's why I cringed when they promoted the Offensive Co-Ordinator. But at least that leaves room for a new Offensive Co-Ordinator.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Looks great, can't wait to get there. Not looking forward to the drive, but that's OK.

I am praying for that cool weather (70's) vs this crap we are suffering through now here in Virginia.

You're talking about one of the friendliest tailgating crowds around IMO.  I'm sure they'll let you tailgate in peace if you want it but MUC fans are professional tailgaters because they get to practice it almost yearly down in Salem.

Yet we're rookies compared to Bridgewater and Stone Station ;

Tailgating takes place in the parking lot just west of the stadium. It's a fun bunch, although we should warn you well in advance that many of our fans that we are less than proud of chose to sit in the section next to the visitor seats. Ignore them, they are often just dumb.

Some believe the tailgating before the game begets those "less than proud of" fans mentioned beforehand. Its mostly good natured, but not always. Its kind of like the guy who pays 50 bucks to heckle a comedian at a show. What are you gonna do?
In my own beloved section we celebrate EACH & EVERY first down MUC gains. Most opponents fans ignor it until the game gets lopsided...then they interpret it as taunting. Go figure! :o  Just wait till the refs get flag happy......or call the game lopsided....now thats when it gets verbal! ::)

D3 Poster

Since they put in the 'spread' last year & had spring practice, I anticipated the O would just be adjusting to some nuances as opposed to learning a new one.

I may have to check it out at Sunday's scrimmage and see for myself.

I see the Muskies still scrimmage Witt...that should give a decent look at the progress made.

A little off-topic but USAToday is having a great day.  Today's edition included a feature on London Fletcher and his new role with the Washington Redskins (although they didn't shout out his alma mater).

The feature story was also of particular interest.  They're featuring and breaking down the wing-T offense and highlighting a high school in Washington that has perfected it.  I know some of the old-timers in Post Patterns really love that Wing-T offense.

Really good reads.

I've attached both stories below.

I wish it were true but alas the last time I was at MUC for a game, a lot of that press box was not even built yet.  I would have given anything to have been there on October 22, 2005.

Jason Trusnik played about half of the 4th quarter at LOLB tonight, didn't really miss any tackles; held his own for the most part and did end up with 1 tackle.  Not a great game but he played solidly.  He also saw alot of action on special teams.  I did notice that he played from a 2-point stance this game while he was primarily lining up in a traditional 3-point stance last week against the Falcons.

Typically games 2-3 aren't great for the end of roster guys so he actually played a little more than I anticipated.  I hope that's a good sign.

RC,

Was that the day the earth stopped spinning on its' axis and people began flying off the planet into outerspace?

Or maybe it was when Mrs. Browns cow kicked over a lantern in the barn and ADA burned to the ground? ::)

Though I hate to see Mount ever lose, a loss once in a (long) while makes the Raiders seem more human and keeps the pressure of streaks and media attention at bay.

Not this year, of course; I want them to go 15-0 and get the win total to double figures!

Has anybody else noticed the picture of Larry Beavers on the front page and thought that kid needs to eat more?

RIC,

Any inside info on the first week of Raiders camp. Freshman list and # reported for camp etc. I was hoping to be back in Ohio for the scrimmage with W & J but it looks like I will be traveling that day. SIL.

OK fellow, be gentle, this is my first post.....how did the Raiders look in their first intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday?  Any new standouts, transfers, or freshmen that looked exceptional?  We have a sophomore playing at MTU, but were unable to attend.
