hscoach even though it looks like his kool aid is laced with some good stuff i'll pass lol.  as for the jcu game nothing concrete a lot of times these two teams play you can throw out who is better and the records i just think it will be less than a one touchdown game either way.  if bw's defense can continue to play the way they have i like their chances but the offense needs to be more consistent.

Presto

i don't get the bueller reference sorry.

Presto is clearly very young if he doesn't get it.  Although, we have to remember that Ferris Bueller's Day Off was out in 1986.  Hard to believe boys, but there are kids in college who weren't even born when that movie was released.

Presto,
It is early and they haven't played a top team yet, but here is my assesment.

The defense is better than last year.  The front four is extremely fast and strong, LB's are not great but solid, and the DB's are big and fast.  Very impressed with the 2 safeties replacing the Hauslers.  Starks is one of the best Corners I have seen.

Offensively, the schedule will really help them.  Asssman does not throw the ball like Rocky, but is more athletic and is able to create problems for defenses with his running.  The RB's are not as good as last year.  The WR's are very young but have a lot of talent.  If Alexander can get healthy they will continue to put up points.

Looking at the OAC stats there will be some great defensive battles this year; thankfully all the big boys come to Columbus this year.  I have to think MU, CU,BW and ONU defenses are some of the best in the country.

Thats depressing, JK.   Have you been able to catch any UK football down there?

Also, did you come to a decision?  Maybe I missed it..

Presto:  Regardless of your age, there are certain movies that we must be able to quote lines from at a moment's notice......Ferris Buehler is one of those.  Among the others are:

Animal House
Caddyshack
Young Frankenstein
Blazing Saddles
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Porky's
Remember the Titans
Field of Dreams
And, any movie with Will Farrell

It's a "man law"..........Oh, and also Hollywood Knights (it's an obscure one, but excellent for quotes)

I was at the UK-Kent St. game.  That, I think, will be the only game I make it to.  Tickets are, obviously, getting harder to come by.

As for my "decision," I submitted an unqualified resignation packet to the Army.  It is still up to them whether they let me go or not.  It is at the approving authority now, has been for a week, but I have yet to hear anything.  Both outcomes are equally sucky.  Either they will deny my request and send me to Iraq, or they will approve my request and I will have to find a civilian job (at which I would like to make about the same amount of money so as not to have to take a hit in the "quality of life" department, which is hard when you consider I make upwards of $60k with benefits included... not many places offering that for a starting salary).

Thanks for asking though.

Also I think Blues Brothers needs to be on that list.

JK,

Should you be allowed to take the civilian route and not mind a move to Cincinnati (you'd make your Badin grad wife VERY happy)...I think I have an opportunity for you here where I am right now.

If that time comes (which I hope it does), message me offline and I'll send you details.  The company loves ex-athletes and leaders such as yourself.

I might be showing my age with this one, but Monty Python's Holy Grail has to be on there too.   "It's merely a flesh wound" is a classic.

The original Airplane is honorable mention.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

raiderpa

anybody for "Barbarella"?   original "MASH"?
It is getting depressing seeing the second and (oh crap) third remakes of some movies.....

BTW...anyone kno where I can get a CD/DVD of last yrs Stagg?  thanks..

JK,

Best wishes on your recent decision.  I'm down in Cincy as well and if you move to the area please contact me offline.  I've been fortunate to make many business relationships in the marketplace and might be able to forward your resume around if you're interested.
