Yes, Bacon is terrible this year. But they do have a very good running back that teams should be looking at. He's short, but fast, runs hard, good vision and keeps his feet moving. His name is Reggie Clay.

All I know is we whipped everyone's butt in the GCL when I played, but one team. :) GCL Champs baby! hahaha....but that's the past, I'm just the beer guy now.

saintsfan, tdubs

I lost two games sr. year and to my misfortune those games were to Bacon and Badin.  I'm surprised I've made it this far without hanging myself.  I hated watching Sander put made FG's into the woods at Bacon.

rc,

were the kids up on the hill behind you throwing rocks?  We always had to wear our helmets during our wins at that stadium....I understand Bacon is better than Badin now though...I lost 3 GCL games total in 3 years...but that was a long time ago.

tdubs,

sounds alot like a guy a played against named Mozy Williams.   Stud RB for Bacon back in the day.

Blut...I do think the playing earlier card is one advantage for the non-Mount Union schools in recruiting.

And Mount seems to be an ok program even if they've had guys like Blanchard and Kmic start as freshmen...and there probably are many other examples of freshmen playing at Mount over the years.  So, yes, it seems ok to go to a program where freshmen will play.

Unfortunately for the Wilmas, Muskes, Ettas, Otts, & Princes it seems there are too many starting each year or in the depth chart as number twos.  Hopefully, they can create some depth as they hope to compete with the big 'uns of the conference.  Mount certainly is the standard bearer and keeps raising the bar for everyone to chase.

Here is my source:

Here's hope for the rest of the OAC, though.  Mount is being outscored in the fourth quarter...14-6.  Keep it close, and you can finish them off.   :P

Oh, and my source...www.mtunionfootball.com   ;D

Now that's funny!  ;D

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Too bad BJ Sander can't find a job now. He only needs 3 more games to collect his pension.

Mosi Williams was a good running back. I tried to let everyone know about Kurt Rocco from Mount when he was in high school. Anyone need a Cincinnati area recruiting coordinator?lol

[If you choose to just admit how bad the D is and take them off the field completely, allowing the opposing offense to run against air, how many games would the MUC offense still be able to outscore its opponents?

6 wins.  Easy.

Averett
Musky
Otter
Etta
Wilma
Berg

Brutal, but true.

Any comments on front page story (Around the Nation) on conference rankings?  Nothing new in the top two.

Using the source, www.muc.edu, I reviewed the drive charts from 2006 (didn't find 2007).  I only took into consideration the first halves of those games with the six opponents in question....assuming the first teamers were done at half-time, this wouldn't skew the stats for those out-of bounds runs late in the game.

Against Averett, Mount scored on 6 of it's 8 1st half possessions for 42 pts.
Vs Ott, 6 of 7 for 41 points.
Vs Muskingum, 7 of 9 for 45 points.
Vs Heidi, 6 of 7 for 45 points
Vs Wilma, 7 of 8 for 48 points.
Vs Etta, 5 of 6 for 31.

So although putting up impressive results, LK obviously has some work to do on the less than perfect results.  ;)

This no defense idea is growing on me...it really would make these six games much more interesting.

Kmic scores a touchdown every 3rd carry.

He averages over 35 yards per touchdown.

Hmm, maybe they would win six???

Forgive me, I'm a little slow but anyone want to vote for "Major League"?

Run Nate Run!

I think all Mount fans want us to play a game where we can see the first team play for more than 15 minutes cuz you wonder just how good the offense and defense are, right?

What is Mt string of road wins at now?   The Berg should be next on the string.

18 games if you're counting playoffs.

80 if you're just counting regular season away games.  (last loss Sep. 28, 1991 @ BW)

Meh, it's impressive I guess.

Another stat I found interesting......Mount's kicker is averaging 14 points a game according to the NCAA stats through Sept 22! :o
