I watched the MUC scrimmage and was very impressed with the offense. The O-line is huge. There were some impressive freshman and sophomores working with the first two units at running back and reciever.Mason seemed in command at QB,he really looked good.I saw the seconed coming of Adam Marino lined up at WR.MUC will field a great offensive unit in 2005.

With the year he had last year these people love Goings.  But I have a hard time stomaching much preseason football so I have to be able to catch things here and there.  When reading about him last year I read he was a state champ at Dublin.  I did the math and figured out he must ahve played with Lanier.

At least Robertson's preseason with Carolina is going better than Rob Adamson's did last year.  He never played, but I did see him on the sideline a few times last year.

Is Adamson still on the roster? How about any other OAC guys on NFL rosters?

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

Adamson played the first game of the year for the Canton Legends of the AIFL. He then retired the day after the first game.

Arth is still in Colts camp again this year but has not seen much action.  He is listed as the 4th string option behind Manning (obviously), Sorgi, and Travis Brown.  Brown has had a lot of snaps so far and I am pretty sure both Brown and Arth are in the same boat: make the team or be waived.

Of course Fletcher is still doing his thing in Buffalo, leading the team (fifth in NFL) in tackles last year with 143.

I have already hit on Jamal and you got your Adamson answer.

Click here for a look at London Fletcher taking time out from camp for his alma mater.  Having him in Buffalo is a nice place for JCU as there's always been a strong contingent from Western New York at JCU.

All:

I saw the Princeton Review 361 best colleges and universities was published today.  ONU made the list, and ONU, BW, and MAR were among the "Best in the Midwest."

The NCAC had a few schools make the list as well.  Kenyon and Oberlin were among the 361 best.

I hate to make the NCAC guys' arguments for them, but that list had statistics for all the schools.  Some quick math reveals that the average HS GPA among the OAC schools is 3.3 with an avg ACT of 22.8.  The NCAC is 3.5 on the GPA and 26.6 ACT.  School breakdown is as follows:

OAC:
BW:  3.5  24
CAP: 3.3  23
HEI:  3.2  21
JCU:  3.2  23
MAR: 3.4  23
MTU: 3.2  22
MUS: 3.2  22
ONU: 3.5  25
OTT:  3.3  23
WIL:  3.2  22

NCAC
ALL:  3.7  26
DEN: 3.6  27
EAR:  3.5  26
HIR:  3.3  24
KEN: 3.7  30
OBE: 3.5  30
OWU: 3.4  27
WAB:  3.6  26
WIT:  3.4  24
WOO: 3.5  26

So far the Kickoff has been an interesting read.  I am sure you guys don't want us all talking about the details of the Kickoff too much though in here and I totally back that up.  Why give it away for free right?

That said, I am intrigued by some of the predictions for the OAC this year, specifically regarding OTT, ETTA and BW.  One question though, if Wilmington is picked to go 1-9 overall and 0-9 in the conference, how does Mt. St. Joe go 10-0?  Just picking on ya  ;).
