It's like the Ol' Ball Coach always voting Duke in his football top 25.  Some votes are anti-votes by people who don't like polls.

Than that individual should be removed as a voter.  It's not like every coach votes, so the ones that don't take it seriously shouldn't participate.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I agree HSC.  If you don't like the polls, don't take it seriously, why even vote?

Ric - let's have an "outing" party!  Who is this non-informed, wacked out goofball?????  Any way we can find out?

This just in........Kcreds is still MIA!   ;)

That's too bad.  I was really looking forward to saying "We told you so" ;D.

Wonder where Jr. is playing next year?

I too think ONU will be a good test for Capital.

I'm not sold on the Cap back-up qb (although it sounds like he did well against JCU), but can become a believer if he is stellar against ONU.

He may not need to be stellar.

Agree, the back-up QB need not be stellar for Cap to defeat ONU.  In the one sighting I had of him, I was not impressed, but if he has a good game vs the P Bears, my opinion based on that one viewing vs Marietta maybe flawed.

And on the Wilma vote....certainly, someone meant Wittenberg???

reality check

Well Wilmington's women's soccer team seems deserving of votes.  Maybe this one wayward voter got his sports confused....and genders.  Maybe?!?!?

Ok, it was soccer, but I got a kick out of being able to say the words anyway.

What's the scoop?

Does Garcon have a broken wrist?  Did he play on a punt block vs ONU?

Can BW play defense without Burger?

Is JCU still banged up?

Did Stelzer get beat-out at Ott or injured?

Can Wilma add to their AFCA points next week?

Presto

the way i'm looking at it bw is 3-2 with mount union, ohio northern and capital remaining.  what once was a possible 9-1 is now looking like 5-5 if they don't "upset" one of those guys.  any thoughts?

Presto

and ps the quarterback change in berea has not worked.

Lock of the Week is Capital (80%) over Ohio Northern (20%).

Pick-Em of the Week is Wittenberg (52%) over Wabash (48%).

I find the Cap/ONU picks to be very interesting.  I wonder how much of that was MUC's destruction of ONU versus just beating them?  If ONU/Cap played before either played MUC, I wonder what the thoughts would have been?

Good luck to all.

Well, I retired from the Air Force last month after a bit over 26 years of service, and begin a job in Tampa this coming week.  It isn't necessarily the job that I really had in mind, but it is meaningful work, and it gets me in the area where we want to be.
I had to fly to Tampa for two interviews, during two successive late weeks (returning on Saturdays), at the end of September, decked out in Mount Union wear, as usual.  Anyone who had "a clue," and asked, I told that I was there to scout out some promising Florida high school talent at a Friday night game ... LOL!!!
On my last return, I did run into a pleasant St. Pete guy at the Tampa airport wearing a John Carroll T-shirt.  He was on his way to see what would be the B-W upset game, and watch his son (a freshman) play in a JV game the next day.  You gotta love the D3 folks & families that are everywhere, showing their colors and allegiance!  I saw a couple other D3 T-shirts along the way ... the "St. Somethings," probably flying Northwest out of Minneapolis, connecting in Memphis.  And then there was the guy representing "tiny Augustana," as Howard Cosell would say about Kenny Anderson's alma mater.

Anyhoo... I believe that there are some OAC and other D3 faithful on this board that are in the Tampa area.  I would appreciate hearing from anyone, via e-mail, matching that description.  Since the wife and youngest won't join me until after the semester/end of the year, I will need to know where to go to watch the Stagg Bowl (if you can't get to Salem to cheer the Purple Raiders to yet another victory).

I think that I will wait a year or so before I add the USF "Bulls" to my Saturday cheer list.

BillyRayJimBob,

Good luck in your new career and thank you for your service.

Your story reminded me of a trip to Maine a few years ago.  My wife and I had just checked into our room in Booth Bay Harbour and I returned to the front desk to ask for some directions.  There in the lobby was a guy wearing a Mt. Union sweat shirt. It truly is a small world.
12-0 = 13

I was up in Bar Harbor in early August.  Part of the trip was a whale watching boat.  After about 2 hours on the water, I look at the sweatshirt on a guy that I was walking past:  Mount Union football.

Sometimes no matter how far you go, you can't get away from home.
