Please don't speak for the 99% that you don't represent.

Strangely, PG04 isn't a Mount Union supporter either. ;D Although I thought we might have converted him last year. ;D
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

reality check

London Fletcher just ran back in INT for a TD.

That would be his third career TD and if I am not overlooking someone else, I believe this gives him 3 TD's on his career, breaking the tie he and Jamal Robertson had for most TD's by an OAC alum in the NFL.

Good for him.

I have to comment on this...and it's been said before. Are so many "fans" that attend the Mount game simply curious or are they REAL fans? The Raiders come out of the tunnel and most just sit...get up on your feet and scream!! They deserve a standing O everytime they come out and go in! When they score, get up and scream and yell don't just sit! Let them know you're behind them! And even if the score is 59-0 yell for the 2nd, third or fourth stringers too!

Purpled....relax will you. A lot of the people in my section are relieved just to have made it to their seats!Didn't you see what all those pushups have done to George?Scream?Stand up and emote ofter every score or good play? Are you trying to get someone a heart attack? They enjoy just as much in the bluehair section with a raised crooked arm and a piping whoop.

I had to get that off my chest but I see plenty of younger people sit and do nothing or talk on their cell phones all game long.

The fans have become desensitized. Expectations are high, and fortunately the team meets or exceeds them regularly. I just dont know how anyone can not get emotionally invested in this teams success.  I believe the "ROBOTS" mentioned in another post may well describe some of the fans.

Are you freaking kidding me?

Is it 2005, am I having flashbacks?  The Otters, seriously?  ANYONE but them.  If we don't make the playoffs this year because of this loss, I might have to break something.

This really hurts the pool C chances.  Of course, two years ago we lost to the Otters and MUC and still got in and won two games, so I won't go so far as to say Cap has NO chance of a pool C if they lose to MUC this weekend.

This past weekend had me a little worried anyway.  It was about the closest thing to a "trap" game we have in the OAC.  Back-to-back against JCU and ONU, supposedly two of the "top" teams in the league and then the rivalry game sandwiched in before the showdown with MUC.  Not to make excuses, but it is entirely possible that Cap might have gotten caught looking ahead a bit.

Oh well, if they win out, they still get in. ;)

Unlucky for Cap is they still have BW yet to play...lucky for Cap is they play them at home!!

Say what you want, Coach Loth has it out for Coach Collins and knows his schemes very well...the only "other" team to beat Cap the past 33 games just had to be Otterbein...I knew it was not going to be a good weekend (tribe also pisses away their chances)!!  Oh well, as Manny stated, "life goes on" and I am on vacation in Phoenix, AZ all week!!

If Pat did as you suggest, we might as well call it MountUnionFootball.com because they would be on the cover every week.  99% of D3 schools, fans, and players do not want to see that.

Sorry, but it's just the way it is.

I also am interested in reading about other programs however I would like to correct you on one point.  Mount Union supporters make-up more than 1% of the supporters to this site and D3 football in general.  Sorry but that's just the way it is.  Please don't speak for the 99% that you don't represent.

I was just figuring that since there are 200+ teams that 1% was a good number.

Also, I think the 283rd team in D3 would like to see coverage of itself, just like the number 1 would.  Most people like something different and that's what the site provides.  You may win all the championships but you aren't the most important team.  Every team is equally important.  It is all about the student athlete after all, right?

What made OU 25 think I wasn't part of the 99%?  Weird since I think it's fairly obvious from my avatar that I am not associated with MUC!

pg04

And to prove that I am not completely against Mount Union, I think their game with Capital SHOULD be featured on the front, because it's actually a game that could be closer than 28 points, maybe.

Games versus Muskingum and Heidelberg frankly don't matter and just because they win by 59 doesn't mean they should be focused on.

Sorry, Im done with my rant.

Go Purple Raiders ! ;)
