Those aren't the old school Yankee fans, those are the band wagon Yankee fans that were starting to become Mets fans last year.  JT and I are old school Yankee fans.

One more thing for us to dislike--GO BOSTON!!
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

RIC,

I do not think people still believe that there is only one good team in the OAC.... Capital has proven the last two years in the playoffs that they belong among the elite.  If it was not for a fluke play on 4th and goal in the 2005 football season, Capital would have been in the National Title and not Mount....
The final score of the game being 34-31.  Lets not forget that Capital only lost by 3 in the same round in 2006...  This would show why a Capital team that lost to both Otterbein and Mount this season would get another shot at the playoffs...
In closing RIC, stick with rooting for Mount and let Capital shock everyone with a victory over Whitewater.

Blind_Side- good to see u back posting... and a special belated birthday shout out to you....

2minuteO:  Outside of the North Region, all people know about the OAC is MUC.  We all know it's much more than that, but in the east, west,  and south they commonly think that the reason MUC wins the OAC every year is becuase the rest of the OAC sucks.  And why MUC always makes the semi-finals is because the North Region sucks.  Not because MUC is that good.

Head over to the Empire 8 page and read the stuff about the NCAA moving MUC into the East to finally provide a challenge for them.  It's quite a hoot.

Personally, I would absolutely LOVE to see Capital beat WWW.  That would shut everybody up.  Though I think the best we could hope for is Capital really pushing WWW and staying close.  I would take a 24-10 Whitewater win as a great showing for an injured Capital team.

26:  Without the injuries, I'd like your chances this Saturday.

This is why MUC will always be an elite team...depth does wonders to a team!!  I just wish we had some young, talented players that could step in & fill in where needed (i.e., when you have to rely on a DE (senior) to replace the starting RB (sophomore) b/c of the lack of productivity/injuries, that is not good)!!

At any rate, I will be cheering on Cap from beginning to end...win or lose!!

I'll tell you what's a "hoot", saying that the OAC is a solid conference yet here is the average MUC game this year:

MUC:         54
Opponent:  2

Outside of Capital, I don't see what you're talking about. The East will challenge them... An average score of 54-2 you will not see.

Ric, over on the E8 board, we do a pretty good job at policing ourselves...

You can tell by superman's karma. :)

No,  but the bottom half of any conference isn't in the postseason. Recalc based on the games against ONU, Capital and Baldwin-Wallace.

I don't understand why it's so difficult to understand the concept that the OAC can be a good conference and Mount Union could still be head and shoulders above the rest of the teams.

vs. ONU 44-0
vs. Cap  37-0
vs. B-W  35-0

Avg. 39-0

I'm sold - I retract my previous statements.

38.67-0.

Which is about what the Ithaca might end up.  Give or take a TD.  Hence my 31.5 spread ;D

Well I'm looking forward to seeing if MUC can pull this one out on Saturday and the couple following Saturdays.....if they win the east, at least we know for sure the Raiders really are legit this year.

If Caps offense  can score, they have an excellent chance of winning this one.

And last I checked, EVERYONE was still taking Mount - your line was clearly too LOW! ;)

The great thing about MUC being in the East region this year is...

After the East rolls into Alliance and takes their beating, they'll have a much better understanding of just how good Mount is.  Until you witness it...it can be hard to believe.  I can tell you, they are impressive.

We may not see 54-2... that would require Mount to give up a safety. ;D

I have seen them, and they are impressive I agree - That doesn't change the fact nobody in the OAC can give them a game.

Last 2 teams East has sent down there the avg. "beating" was 23-10.
