When you start the name calling about student athletes who are playing for the love of the game perhaps it's time someone pulled the plug on your Privileges here. Maybe you need to step back and get a little perspective about what we are talking about here; 18-22 year old scholar-athletes, who are are for want of a better word: kids. I have found Pierre to be a nice, personable young man who has every right to go to the college of his choice. Your need to express your anger here is troubling at best.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

ok the name calling went too far and I will admit that...and I have no issue with people who choose to go to MUC at the start and work their way up..I respect that...What I don't respect is kids that go to one schoo and then leave for reasons besides academics...I might be the only one here that thinks that way

You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

the term Douche Bag, really brought your argument down a couple levels. Jose brings up a great point, neither you nor I or anyone else on this board knows how any of these players ended up where they are today, if they were lied to, or even if the descion was right or wrong. The fact is we are talking about student athletes who pay $ to get a degree and play football. I think that gives everyone in d3 the right to do as they please. You mention giving a commitment to Norwhich to play there, what about the commit of Norwhich to give their student athletes the best oppurtunity to win. See it goes both ways. All I am going to say is, don't assume you know the situation and make a judgemet on it when no one really know.

Thats why that is a classless post.

Just to throw this one out there ... Maybe Garcon wanted to do the military thing --- as Norwich has that as part of the institution --- and then he decided that wasn't the path he wanted to take?
A little playing of devil's advocate.

superman57

but dew you don't have to go the military route at Norwich you can do both...SS asked me why I disliked Garcon so I said it..don't hate me for disliking someone

Maybe you should state the fact that you don't like hundreds of d3 football players out there(not just Garcon)... which would include anyone who transfered to a d3 school and plays football there. That also means any D1 transfer, any D2 transfer, so on and so on. Because they all made that same decision Garcon did.

If you don't hold all of those student-athletes to the same standards, then chances are you don't like the success Garcon has had, rather than the decision he made.

superman57

no it's just garcon for more reasons than were just posted here...and I don't even hate him, I just don't like his character...could I be wrong, of course I often am wrong...but I was asked a question and I responded to the question

The story I heard was he started out at Norwich because his brother was attending Norwich.  When his brother dropped out, he started looking elsewhere.

I don't have any doubt there are a lot of opponents and opposing fans that don't like Garcon.  He's darn good, takes every chance possible to hit someone (which I love being an old O-lineman) and blocks like a S.O.B.  I'd hate him too if he didn't wear purple. ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Hscoach it's not even that...I love players who play hard...but I have heard from MUC posters that he is cocky and has attitude problems, and I can't stand that...so that is my opinon..I respect him as a player but don't like him

A) '57 I can't believe you even fell for that bait.

B) Let it go - it's a no win situation, and quite frankly a little boring

let's get back to more important matters... like these guys:

I gotta disagree.  No one plays at a high level unless they want to win.  Who knows how he ended up at Norwich.  Maybe they lied to him about their program.  Maybe he just made a mistake.  I can't fault a kid with only four yaers of eligibility for not wanting to squander them.

Agreed.

What's a prositute anyways?

Read 57's signature line, it explains much of supes.

Anybody that is putting up their money (or loan) to go to school, should be able to leave and go to another school.  If I was a good enough ballplayer and of college age, the only thing to preclude me from considering Mount Union is that my family and friends couldn't see me play on a regular basis.
