perhaps i could have constructed my words better, but no, it wasn't a contradiction.  just because one believes something is possible doesn't mean they must believe 100% it will occur.  given that, i had my doubts that it would occur but i always knew these guys could get the job done.  lots of smiles in ada today....... i'm wondering if i should hit the beagle myself

COngrats Reality Check and your Polar Bears, even though there was some shaky calls throughout the game, it all comes down to the Polar Bears outplayed the Raiders to get the win! I'm still trying to figure how Robinson wasn't over the goalline before the half when the only part left of his body not in the end zone was from the knees down, besides the run along the sideline that never did touch the out of bounds line. Congrats again Polar Bears, you guys played an excellent game!

WOW!! we've always had the tools, but finally got the whole package in a game and pulled off the upset. although i don't think it's that much of a surprise. i think ONU and mount were on more of a same level this year than in any years past. still, congratulations to all of the seniors and rest of the players on the team. it's truly a proud day to be a POLAR BEAR!!!!

I also send my congratulations to the Polar Bears for a very well played game.  I too thought that the officiating was pretty poor, but that takes nothing away from your win.  Your defense shut us down and the players on your team showed just how much they wanted to win.

I guess ONU didn't think much of their win today. Go to the school's website, they have the football score posted but the top story is the 3rd straight shutout by the women's soccer team. No respect!!

That's because the main page hasn't been updated since the 19th.  It takes far less time to post an updated score than write the story which even when taking place on home games, is not posted for a good hour or two after the finish.

And what do you mean by only one in Ada?  I hope you aren't saying that Ada has just a Hardee's.  Ada proudly boasts a Subway, KFC, Taco Bel/Pizza Hut and a couple one-off restaurants.  Now that we have beaten MUC, I expect the other fast food chains to start rolling in as well.

I don't think the signal got back to the school yet, the stryofoam cup and string were pretty wet!!!    One thing for sure that drive home there tonight will be a blast, might need to stop off and flip a few tractors along the way! For the few fans that did make the trip, they were a great group and really liked seeing the players recognizing the fans and students after the game. Good job Polar bears!
Maybe now a few more Mount fans will start to get rid of the sit-on-the-hands syndrome and realize everything isn't just a given! The Mount Defense was on the field most the game, they have nothing to hang their heads over with the exception of getting lacks on some third down situations that Quirk made the best of.

Congratulations to ONU on a great win.  Mount was outplayed and ONU did a great job preparing for this game.  On another note, still disappointed in MUC's fans.  These people sit on their a$$ the entire game, while their team struggles to stay in it.  I guess when our fan base has an average age of 75, that happens.  Would like to see more activity from our fans.  We are an embarassment, especially when the visiting teams are almost always louder than the home stands.
