No way that is true.  I hope.  That all but guaranteed the beatdown.  What sane sportsfan would ever put a jinx that big out there for a game this big?

Oh, I don't know.  We had our hotel reservations a couple months ago ;D

WOW HScoach! you waited that long??  ;D lol, jk

All kidding aside, the Bethel fans were awesome, very vocal and with that much spirit when you're team was getting their heads handed to them, BIG PROPs, you have alot to be proud of in the season you accomplished. I WISH the MOUNT STUDENT BODY WOULD FOLLOW SUIT! Congrats on a great season and we know you don't lay claim to the AO that's been the board jester this week!

Raiders!!!! simply awesome! You guys have seemingly topped many of the past Raider feats we felt could never be touched. But you have one more game to play and without that one, all the other ones will have lost their luster. FINISH STRONG!!! ..... IT's AGAIN FOR TEN!

Nice win for The Machine today.  I know Bethel and their fans didn't think today was gonna happen and/or possible but you know that the SJU faithful knew it could get ugly quickly and indeed it did.  Old hat.  Much respect from Johnnie Nation as we are fully aware of the greatness and longevity of your amazing program.  It is a pleasure to witness it and nice baptism to the Royals today.  They are still lightyears from beating MUC.

How bout another brouhaha with the Johnnies in Salem in 08?  Anything but MUCk versus Whitewater...

All for that TT, lol  BTW, can we mail order some of those Stifgenburger(sp) things for the Stagg Bowl this year though? hehehe, have a great holiday!

That is sad about the MUC students.  I've spent the afternoon watching the Southern Illinoise-Delaware game (I-AA) and now watching the NWMo-GVSt. (the D2 Mount Union) game and although the stands are not completely full, they seem to have a large, very vocal support.  And with much crappier weather.

Are the students THAT spoiled with 14 years of winning?

Congrats Bethel on a tremendous season, your team and fans have much to be proud of in your accomplishment this year. Quite frankly, to most of us at Mount you were under the radar so to speak or not even on it, but you have now made a mark for yourselves and for everyone else to realize that there's someone else in Minnesota beyond the Johnnies really wanting the chance to be known as champions. Your fans spirit was something to admire, and a very classy and wonderful group both the fans and players. May you all have a Joyous Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.
Watching the game from Korea, I was proud of the way both teams handled themselves even when it was apparent that Bethel was over-matched.  It was a tremendous opportunity to play Mount, and I know in the long run Bethel will be better for it.  Safe travels to all going to Salem, and have fun winning "one for the thumb!"  Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season to all of you as well. ;D

in short, yes the students are that spoiled with winning.  it sucks and its a shame, but thats just how many MUC students are.  There will be many that go to Salem next week that havent been to a game all year.  As for the DIAA and DII games, I can't say for sure, but having ESPN on campus will bring out a lot more students than usual too.

anyone else rooting for NW Missouri St?  GVSU is getting a little too close to 55 straight

One thing that really confused me...Bethel wanted to run and control the game but after winning the toss elected to kick and give the ball to Mount...not to smart, eh?

We thought the same exact thing as soon as they signaled it at the coin toss.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I didn't mean that the refs were perfect.  They were a non factor in deciding the out come of the game.  For the most part you didn't know they were there.  That's how it is should be.  Al in all I thought they did a respectable job.  LK gave a Mt. player hell for what he thought was a late hit towards the end of the game.  That happened in front of  the section I was setting in.  It was not called by the refs.  Give credit when they do a half way decent job.  We are quick to condemn, we should also note when the refs do a fair job.

Special Holiday wishes to you Carl and all those troops overseas during this holiday season and throughout the year. It's your efforts protecting our freedoms and giving us the liberties to enjoy what we all often take for granted. Hope you find yourself home soon and enjoying a Bethel game again in person next season.

WOW! Tebow gets the Heisman, geeeez and Nate Kmic was left out again???  ;D ::) geeeez...com' on Tebow is only a sophmore! ;D ..oh well ESPN is taking a survey now as to whether Tebow should have gotten it...VOTE NO!!!   LOL  ;D

raiderpa

These Raiders are the best every assembled, and Bethel was out of their league today...Bethel fans were great and deserve much credit for their travel and support/
The Bethel "push-up man" even got an ovation from Mount fans...haha

RB Bang made a great effort on his final run as a senior to score against Mount.  A great way to end a career...feel good moment....about the only one for the Royals.

BTW....Grand Valley State is getting blown away with 7 minutes left....

BillyRayJimBob

Watching the Grand Valley State vs NW Missouri game.....
- Did anyone else think GVSU's freshman running back #21, Berezik (Sp?) reminds you of Nate Kmic's size and running style?
-  The older-voiced announcer said, not once, but twice, that Mount Union will play UW-Whitewater in the "Alonzo Amos" Stagg Bowl.

"This year MUC is the "visitor" in the Stagg Bowl. After 10 appearances we certainly feel AT HOME there. There must be some mistake! ; ;D"

^^ Does that mean no more Black Tops/Purple Bottoms??? I hate the all whites.

reality check

In the other other DIII game today, Team USA won in the Aztec Bowl.  Etta's Clay Ream had a sack and three tackles and ONU's Gunter and CAP's Starks played solid at defensive back.

SJF's Brennan Fortune also played as was expected.
