Small but Slow

The ABJ article states the MUC superlatives nicely, but the dominance of the year makes me nervous.  It all comes down to execution and making more big plays than the 'Hawks.

Ok...I apologize before asking...but...who is Ray Bentley?

skunks:
kirasdad beat me to it having posted the link to Bentley's bio, although I noticed it didn't mention more about his stellar career as a linebacker at Central Michigan University in the MAC.  He is one of their all-time greats there.

Runyr:

I just got a copy of this year's Mount Union Adult Studies brochure with me on the cover. There were 25-30 years when I wasn't even all that welcome on campus, let alone pictured on college literature. That same thought occurred to me when Pat-Keith asked me for my thoughts on the air before last year's Stagg. Not sure I was ever the college's first choice as a representative. 8) 8)  Some of us just take a little longer to grow up. ;D ;D ;D

To the faithfull: I'll be in the lot tomorrow with my #99 Johnny Josef Black Nasty Playoff Jersey on. Please stop by and say hey!!!

It's on Wikipedia, you can update the bio and add that information.  :)

Considering all the hoopla about Justin Beaver, how amazing is it Nate Kmic has over 5000 yards as a Junior and hardly played during the regular season of his Freshman year?  Nate's per carry average is significantly higher, his losses are lower and he has done it with much less playing time.

and before anybody posts it, I remember that Beaver missed part of last season.

On this day, an amazing young man will be awarded the highest honor in D3 football.  This "hoopla about Justin," is credit given to a completely deserving student -athlete.  Did you read the article on the front page?  I would suggest humbly and sincerely that maybe for this day, there could be a moratorium on the, "whose got the better running back," talk.  This day is about Beaver.  Kmic is very talented and his time will come.

Quote from a Capital Defensive star whose played agaisnt both; "Beaver was like Kmic on Steroids." Went on to say, Mount as a team....much better.

Don't shoot the messenger!

And, to quench the fire before it even begins...it does not mean that Beaver is on steroids (or juiced), just that he was much better than Kmic.

Knightstalker

Forget the game, just have Kmic and Beaver do Oklahoma drills against the other teams best D-Lineman.   ;D

Thanks for clearing the air for me!...You're are absolutley right, that is all it means..just an expression.

Given the events of the past few days we won't be able to compare future major league pitchers using the simile, "He's like Roger Clemens on steroids."

See you in the morning, Seventies!  Can't wait for my first trip to Salem!!!

Good luck MUC...not that you need it.  Safe travels to all

HELLO MEN!

Skunk and I landed safely in Salem.  We had the privelege of seeing "Mr. D-III" Pat Coleman at the Civic Center while picking up out tickets.  We are currently having the first "official Stagg Bowl beer" as I write this.

See everyone from Mount at the Pep Rally tonight.

I see that "the kid" picked against Mount.  Sigh......those guys just will never quite forgive Mount for 2003.   ;D

Thank the football gods they love to tailgate and treat all with great hospitality!
