that was pretty funny hs coach but one rumor i did hear is that marietta's debate team scrimmaged the football team last year and lost but word was the football team only played one qb.

Wow that was about as funny as infant mortality.

Actually, I thought that was one of the better ones.  Not only did it slap Etta for being bad on the field, it brought back the original issue of riding Vrable to the very end.

+k for Presto.  Even though the kid can't find the "shift" key.

I thought you were done with this board?

I would be if people would stop addressing me and continuing a discussion I already indicated I have no interest in continuing, and frankly has no real further use to this board other than to folks wanting to be jackasses.

What the French Toast?

Neither HScoach nor Presto addressed you directly in their posts.  They made general statements trying to inject some  humor here.  A bit full of ourselves this morning are we spence?

Now, please follow your own self-ban of this board you Son of a Biscuit Eating Bulldog.

You can't really be that dumb. No they didn't address me by name but they damn sure addressed me by keeping on rather than agreeing to disagree as I was trying to.

Now I'll leave you to worship your quaint little one-sport athletic department. It's spring, baby!

There he goes again. If anybody has a one sport (baseball) athletic department its Marietta. I know from personal experience, Mount Union has since before my time (thanks  to Coach Jim Wuske) had track and cross country teams that have challenged at the national level every year(and brought home a ton of National hardware). Over the past several years we've had throwers and sprint relay teams of national finals quality. The first major renovations to Mount Union Stadium were done for the track team, not football. And we had an indoor track before we had turf

And like everyone else, occaisionally we have teams in other sports that rise to the top.

Spence, one thing you could learn from that debate team is that if your wrong, it doesn't matter how much, or how loud you talk. Your still wrong.

BTW Given my choice between college baseball and college football, I wouldn't be on this board if my first choice wasn't football.

Along with the success of the football and track programs at MUC the wrestling team has represented the college quite well for many years.  And didn't the women's basketball team make it deep into the NCAA tournament a few years back.  I believe Marietta may have a crew team that rows up and down the Ohio and Muskingum Rivers.  Doubt MUC can compete there due to geographic limitations.

All hail the new Roger Clemens of Post Patterns.

And the "one sport athletic dept" dig might be the biggest pot meet kettle moments in recent history.

Suprisingly...no article on Pierre from this site (D3).  I can'tt remember a D3 skill position player to ever have combine numbers so impressive...maybe EVER...(top5-10) rankings in most categories.

Sorry, man -- it's Division III basketball playoff time and I barely have time to sleep.  :-\

Presto

since he brought up jackasses i wonder who would win in a landslide if this board voted on the biggest jackass of the month? spence just can't figure out that the person looking back at him when he looks in the mirror is not the same person everyone else sees and he is the reason for that but this is obviously a case of one person is right and EVERYONE else is wrong.

(how about that for my attempt at the shift key hs coach, does that warrant karma?)

You know one good thing about Marietta?

It's only half as far as Wilma ;D

I was on a draft scouting website that had Kmic, Michelli and Blanchard on it. Koestelnik too. I think that four prospects would be enough to hold a proday, just a matter of having the weather cooperate to use the outdoor facilities. Juniors only do what Ht, Wt and 40?

J.Don Montgomery nearly took the Marietta job when it last opened. He loved the campus and the people.Personally,I'd rather see the young Mount coaches go out of conference so they don't have to scale Everest each year to avoid getting blown out by LK and the Raiders.Spence is being too hard on Coach Siriani at WJU,and overlooking the good he does those young men and his school.
