Thats exactly what I was referring to, Knightstalker.  Thank you

I didn't have any expectations....but thats also why I'm saying Marietta would not have won in week 1 even if they had played Waynesburg or W&J.

I'm not going to help you chase your tail on this one... you've made my point.

Do you really think a scrimmage would have prepared a new QB for any of those two teams?

*and before you ask it, they included Heidelberg in the "parity" part because they beat the flaming pile known as BW.

Oh well that makes total sense, since you know, we um...beat...Heidelberg (on the road no less, the longest road trip a team can make in the OAC) and did every year before that since 2003.

But I totally understand why someone would think Heidelberg was better. Oh wait, I'm sorry, I was wrong. That doesn't make a danged bit of sense to me at all!

I actually gave Spence +K for that post.  It was well thought out and he didn't resort to name calling.  Miracles do happen.

Screw you. I don't need your patronizing BS.

Nice back-handed compliment, jerk.

I was being sincere but thank you for showing your true colors again.

I am by no means defending Spence's way out of line response, but assuming you were sincere (and I will), the "Miracles do happen" was unnecessary and counter-productive.  While I would not have posted as he did, my initial response would have been to be extremely offended.

JK

Wow, I go away for a week and it all blows up.  I feel for you, Spence.  I don't agree one bit with some of your tactics, but I kinda know how it feels.  I made some immature, stupid remarks about Kehres FILS and got lambasted.  You have the audacity to attack Kehres PERE?!?!?!?!

Unlike you, Spence, at least I made some intelligent comments before I made my attack, which garnered me some goodwill and allowed me to survive with no harm but a lot of embarassment for my actions.

For the rest of you guys, the amazing thing for me is that Spence is a knowledgeable, respected, and pretty "normal" poster in the d3baseball.com message boards (I surf the hoops and baseball boards and make the occasional Cap related post)

Wow, attacking LK... that's stupid.  There might not be a more respected Coach in the State of Ohio (including Jim Tressel).  Coach Kehres is 100% class.  Here's one personal example:
I grew up in the Alliance area and was the son of a HS coach.  As such, LK knew my dad and knew me fairly well as I grew up, but certainly not closely.  MUC recruited me a bit, but I didn't have many conversations with Coach Kehres through the process.  Even though I chose to attend college and play football at Capital, he always made a point to seek me out and shake my hand after every MUC-Cap game, and he always called me by name.  My sophomore year he asked me the name of one of my teammates, a fellow lineman named Mark, whom he was particularly impressed by (I would guess).  I told him Mark's name one time and from then on after every MUC-Cap game he called Mark by name as well.  So, I don't buy for one minute that he doesn't know the names of the guys on his own team, whom he sees every day, when he could remember my name and one of my teammate's names while only seeing us once a year.

It was a nice, relaxing vacation in sunny St. Thomas, USVI.  Maybe I'll try to find a job down there.  ;D

Spence,

OR perhaps the tiebreaker was end of year record??  Take a look at that.

I'm not naming the person I spoke with, but its ok.  He actually knows OAC football VERY well and you are someone that compares scores from 10 years ago and talks in circles.  I dont' think you are going to ever realize that someone else might have different opinoin than yours---and be right.

I'm not going to continue to argue with you... I honestly don't think its worth my time.

Hopefully Pat gets rid of you soon enough

Fellas, I'm done with him.  For those of you that never thought you'd hear me say this......I miss kcreds

JK,

Ha...I told my manager at work that if the wrong person gets into the White House, we should open an office in the British VI.   Would that interest you or what?

If Billary ever gets to the White House, count me in too.

Though I'm not sure that's far enough way.

Because I have been posting so long and do consider our interactions a fun part of my ties to my college days (and because some of you guys are just generally good people...) I wanted to share my joy in the fact that I became a daddy Thursday night.  I am loving everything about it and am truly blessed that both my baby daughter and wife are doing so well.  We are back home today and my baby polar bear is fitting right in.

And in a funny twist of fate, I stopped at CVS to fill a couple prescriptions for my wife.  I was waiting on the  pharmacist to call my name and got to thinking about checking emails, uploading some baby pics, checking some fantasy stuff and wondering what I had missed in Post Patterns.  One of the pharmacy techs heard me say something about Ohio Northern when discussing Pharm Degrees and he says he's from Marietta.  We talked for about ten minutes.  He transferred into Etta to play baseball and was pretty knowlegable of the football program.  The whole time we talked I couldn't help but think to myself that this guy was pretty level-headed and a genuinely decent individual.  It just proves they do exist down there.

RC-

Congrats, buddy!  It is a wonderful thing.  I've loved every day of the last 21 months and look forward to many more with my son.  I am sure you will too with your new daughter!

;D

Knightstalker

Congratulations RC, enjoy her, they grow up too fast.  The Stalkerette is 6 going on 21.  Although we really weren't sleep deprived, she started sleeping through the night as soon as we brought her home.
