From here on I will gladly refer to you as "Castanza"...

Tom Arth now has sole possession of the Colts' 3rd QB spot following a season ending injury to Travis Brown and an impressive performance at the end of the Colts-Bears game this past weekend.  Click here for more:

P.S. - if you click on Tom's name where highlighted it leads to a Q&A in which he gives some nice props to the OAC overall and MUC.

Good luck to Arth.  He was always the MUC opponent I respected the most.  Still can't believe he was 0-5 against Mount.

Any way to change that poll question?  When will the poll expire so we can try another one?  Just curious...

I thought that 2002 (regular season) was his best shot.  The team was solid, he had a lot of talent around him offensively, and for awhile it looked as though JCU might hang in...but then the "fumble" after the long drive to start the 3rd and Arth's injury killed any hope of a win.

I remember Arth not playing much in Europe? Who started over him?  I am sthinking it was Casey Bramlet of the Bengals.  Am I correct here?

Toph,
I'm going to go way out on a limb here and say 1999 was his best shot.  3 OT's and an amazing and contreversial finish will back me up on this one.  If you still want to say it was 2002, that's a provided right by this free country,

4u the vid shows it was not a fumble.  Saw it recently.  Could have been called either way cause it was close but looked pretty definite to me.  Which was the year in Bedford?  01? Had Mount on the ropes that year. An amazing catch on fourth down in the final minute?

Ric,
The Bedford game was a classic as well, agreed.  To set the record srtaight, I didn't say it was a fumble.  I never saw conclusive video one way or the other.  It was contreversial, nonetheless.

Was unable to get to the WJ scrimmage last night due to a late start. Did however get to see Massilon v Dover. Packed house to see Massillon roll. Unfortunatley the Tigers look like the real deal. Stacy has a balanced attack and some speed at the skill positions.

Can anyone who saw the MUC v WJ scrimmage post some of their observations?

Thanks

Shark,
Mount's offense looked real good. The line especially. Jorris and Mason had all the time in the world to throw. They looked pretty even with a little bend towards Mason IMO.
Ibeh was a stud running the ball. Again the line looked good but no where as good as their pass blocking.
The defense looked a little suspect until I found out 3 starting DB's were out. Most glaringly Ross Waston.
It is a very biased opinion so you might want to ask others.

Thanks for your observations! 1st scrimmage missed in years :(

        Any others?

The 2005 OAC Pick-Em Contest is open for business.

Please check out the week 1 spreads on the OAC Pick-Em thread.

As always, the contest is open to everyone.  Whether an OAC regular or not.

I don't know, controversial might be too strong a word.
