Well Matt D'Orazio just got himself Arena Bowl title number two with his 59-56 victory in New Orleans.  He gets himself his second ring and a brand new yellow 2008 Mitsubishi Spyder Eclipse convertible for being named Arena Bowl MVP.  His final TD came on a tackle eligible play to Phil Bogle; a talented young man I had the pleasure of meeting when I worked w/ his alma mater, the University of New Haven.

Congrats to D'Orazio on another great arena season.

Bareback(er),

I think you're right...its going to be an exciting season for the Polar Bears.  I'm going to be coming up to a game this year...  hopefully Coach Paul lets me on the sideline...as I've heard its a great game-day experience up there.

reality...are you coming to Ohio during the season this year?  If so, I'd like to schedule my trip (though its a little bit shorter than yours) for the same weekend.  We can talk about how much Chaminade sucks and how Badin used to beat the piss out of the Eagles!

As a high school football coach, my involvement or attendance regarding ONU is limited to catching a couple webcasts throughout the season and trying to read the game recaps in detail.  I'd love to say I could come to a game but if we make the playoffs, I'm out for sure (unless ONU's playoff run lasts longer than my high school team's).  I admit I hope that scenario plays itself out.  Arizona's high school football season starts the same week as ONU's so there's no wiggle room in the schedules.

Does Badin still have a program?

The answer is no if you're talking about the team and comparing it to my era of total domination of all things-Dayton.   CJ should flatten them again this year...but most of the CJ "grads" will go to work for Badin Grads one day..  ;D

if the tribe were to sign Bonds to DH, what would they have to lose? If I were the owner, I would be all for it.... any thoughts?

Sabers...

Its a lost season...why piss money away on Barroid this year?  Sign him over the winter for 09 and see what happens...thats a better alternative.

Does anyone think this might be a "Michael Jordan suspension" for Bonds??  Remember when Jordan left for baseball because he was "out of challenges in basketball"?

I think we're looking at something along those same lines....imposed by Buddy Boy Selig

Yeah Alter used the same line about working for them someday when we beat on them too.  You need new material.

no.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Alliance and Gambier were both nominated.  They just didn't make the cut for the final 20.  Seeing that Kenyon streak in print never ceases to be amazing though (29 straight for the men).
