The results for Week 1 and the spreads for Week 2 have been posted.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

hscoach,

OK, so MUC beats Fisher again...

NOW that you can comment... how were the co-eds??

The weather forecast hurt the viewing.  Both from a pure numbers standpoint as well as the "magnitude" of those in attendance.  Hopefully the night game vs. ONU will be better.

Speaking of co-eds, Mount must have instituted LK's no cut policy with the chearleaders.  There are at least 20 young women on that squad.   ;D
12-0 = 13

Good luck to ONU this weekend.

Would be nice to see the OAC's 3rd place team beat the CCIW Champs ;D

With the push ups required after each score, it might be part of MUC's "Wellness Plan" for the student body.

ONU gets to face an old Polar Bear coach in Rick Ponx at North Central.  He's the assistant head coach at NC and spent 15 years at ONU as offensive and defensive coordinators.  I always liked Coach Ponx but I wouldn't exactly have a problem leaving him with an opening loss.

Are female students still referred to as "co-eds?"  Just curious.  Current students or recent grads, please advise.

I thought they were, runyr... but I've been out of school 10 years.

I graduated 3 years ago, and not too many people around campus are referring to women as co-eds anymore.  Not really sure why, it has just kind of faded out I guess.
They should have practiced harder.

My recently graduated son informs me that the term coed is no longer used. Substitute the word hotties. Even if they aint.

I asked a players mom what the bat was all about. She had no idea...never saw that before either. No player held it for long...it was passed constantly.

I like the WAVE formation that the cheerleaders used during pushups, i believe it is used to distract the people who count the pushups to make sure they do enough. It is hard to keep count when they are doing the wave. Clever though.

Wait a minute. RaiderfAN1983 graduated 3 years ago and seventiesriader graduated 6 years.? You can't believe anything on the internet anymore. :P

The only place I see COED used anymore is by schools to indicate that something is for both genders. ie I'm the Head Coed Cross Country Coach.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

I'm not sure about the baseball bat on the sideline, but I have asked over on the E-8 board if anybody there knows.

One thought I had about the bat is that last spring, the Fisher team was involved in a game where one of the opposing coaches very nearly died after being hit by a foul ball.  There Fisher team needed a win in the game to advance to the playoffs, but the whole team decided to concede the game to Oswego State University (a NY state school), effectively ending their season immediately.

The incident received some national press last spring, and a very nice write-up on ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=3398247).

So the term "co-ed" is out of touch?

A Google search suggests otherwise ;)

According to link below (I did a Google search too) one type of magazine still uses the term "coed" regularly.  I'm not going to mention type of magazine, but wonder if their readers are today's major users of term.  ;)

Small but Slow

Kirasdad,
Best wishes on your inaugural game.  Let's hope the weather holds out.  The field at RR tends to get a bit spongy with even the slightest amount of precipitation.
