I commend Larry Kehres on a good coaching job this week.  He did something at halftime to get his team back on track.

Yes he did, LK started calling the plays after the half.  In the first half, someone else was calling the plays.

I know he was mucraiders.  I saw it myself as I was standing on the sidelines for the whole game.  But I also think he had to have said something to the team at halftime because they just couldn't do anything in the first half and were playing downright horrible.  In the second half he was calling the plays and the team was executing them. In the first half it wouldn't have matter who called the plays becuase the team just didn't execute them properly and often times looked confused.  It really came down to a matter of execution between the two halves.
The impossible CAN happen and eventually it WILL happen.

mucraiders-
Can't a Mount grad figure out how to use the internet, or did you quote nothing on purpose? ;)

Just stick to telling us all how good JCU is and how Mount got lucky about dropping 70 on your beloved Notre Dame wannabes.

When have I ever said Mount got lucky?  Nice try.

Question for the board!
As the playoffs seedings begin to shape up within the next few weeks, I wonder what most feel about seedings when a team hasn't played out a full 10 game schedule. Prime example is obviously Linfield, and rightfully so they are the national champions of last season and hold that status until this Stagg Bowl and have earned their #1 seed by, more than likely going undefeated this year, However, with only an 8 game schedule, courtesy of Lewis&Clark backing out of their remaining conference schedule, it makes it interesting if someone else from the West finishes with a 10-0 season.  Just checking what others feel about a situation like this. I personally would love to see an all purple stagg too, so i'm not implying at all that the Wildcats don't deserve to defend their status, just wonder though if seedings should be based soley on season record, or what?   Oh, BTW , I would love to see Brett Elliot doing the Heisman stance , just for the sake of D3 football itself!!!

racheting-raver--nice post-not!  Every team has some fans who know how to both win and lose with class--obviously you are not one of them.  That's too bad.  Most of Caps fans have some class.  Not you.
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

MtFan:
Let's see. Give  #1 to St Johns and #2 to UWW and then be gracious in giving the defending titleholder #3.
So you're looking for Linfield vs Capital for the title?

The Pick-Em results and games for week 10 have been posted.  Sorry it took me this long to get them done.

On the Pool C debate, it looks like the only chance the OAC has for a 2nd team is JCU if they win out.  There would have to be only the absolute worst 9-1 teams left before the NCAA would put in an 8-2 team in a Pool C slot.   The Cap/JCU game should be an interesting one.  I'm still shocked the same team that MUC rolled in week 2 is undefeated since and has a legit shot at the playoffs.  But then again I'm shocked that MUC's offense has disappeared with the injury to Garcon.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

He's not even a CAP fan.  He's an NCAC guy, maybe from WITT?!?  I can't remember and it's not that important.  You can check his website out at http://www.colinoreillyisthegreatest.com or http://www.dont_go_by_the_stats.net .

Congrats to JCU and CAP for cracking the top 25.  Four teams in the top 25 is not bad at this time of year.

Mr. Ypsi

rc,

Almost certainly a one-week phenomenon, since the loser of Cap-JCU will fall back to 'others receiving votes', but still quite impressive!  I'm guessing it has happened before earlier in the season for conferences like OAC, WIAC, and perhaps CCIW and others, but generally only before conferences begin cannibalizing themselves.

Pat,

HAS a conference ever had 4 teams in the top 25 this late in the season before?

I guess that Dean Paul's ridiculous hair plugs didn't inspire the troops today.

It is understandable why your Karma is so bad. You have no class.

Pat,

What exactly DOES it take for a poster to get barred from the boards?

Hey B4UKNEWIT
Met your son yesterday, thanks for having him hunt me down. Not that I was all that hard to find. From our brief encounter he seems like a really nice young man.
PS Thanks to everyone who stopped to say Hi yesterday. I think the whole thing helped me put the past behind me and move on.

Hate to contradict anyone but that was the loudest non-playoff crowd I have heard in years. Passing out a couple hundred thunder sticks seemed to have helped, as well as inviting a couple hundred high school kids and their parents and some small time donors like me.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Quick check of the polls shows that the OAC had four teams in the top 25 in Week 9 last year too.  MUC, CAP, BW and ONU all there in 2004 Week Nine.
