I just hope that Mount passes the ball to AJ Claycomb.  What do you think WIDEOUT?   ;)

On the MTU Website they have a depth chart listed on a PDF of the Game Notes.

Marty Assman is listed as a So.?

Do we really have 2+ more years of the "Assman?"

If DB's are weak for CAP then its game over 350 in the air multi. receivers.

Didn't say Cap's DBS are weak, I said they are the weakest part of Cap's Defense.  There is a difference, a big one.  Especially considering how good Cap's DL and LBs are.  The experience on D for Cap is in the front 7...

uhhhhhhhhhh...and don't forget that Micheli can and will run.  So pressure on a typical QB is one thing...pressure on Micheli is something else...I believe he's got over 1,000 rushing yards for his career...so a controlled pass rush might be a better idea for Capital come Saturday.

Yep.  I agree.  Also might see Andriacco, Welch, Haegan or Ankrom playing as a "spy" to contain Micheli's running ability.  The QB draw too...wouldn't surprise me to see MUC run that a few times.

Good point about Cap's other WR's, JK.  It's more than the Alexander show.  All three have impressive ypc numbers (over 17.5) so I definitely think the MUC DB's need to avoid the big play.  And Evan Blake already has 6 TD's.  My hope as a Raider fan is that they can pressure Assman enough to force him into a bad throw or two.  Tough task given his performance so far.

If they contain Kmic with only their front 7 I will be very surprised.  Of course, I guess one's definition of "contain" is relative. But if anyone has the horses to do it, it's Cap.  Should be a good one as always.

Thanks.  Sometimes I know what I am talking about...  ;)

You are right, "contain" is a relative term.  I said Kmic would get his 150.  To me, that is "containing" him.  If Cap can keep him around 150 and contain the passing game, then they have a good shot...

hscoach,

You're welcome, and I agree with you on almost all of your points.

That's because there really aren't any fans of the Otters...

What nonsense is this?? A school has to exercise an "OPTION" to have its records considered? Who came up with that one....the Florida Attorney General? Yeah thats it.....Borchert never was an option QB, so his playoff records dont count...thats it! Who is responsibe for submitting the stats, and why WOULDNT you submit the records of a guy who won you a couple of National Championships? This is beyond absurd. Say it aint so. If he did it...then he DID it!

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

At the time that he did it, they didn't count playoff statistics.  So, I believe that MTU would have to re-submit the playoff stats to add them to his totals.  Maybe the MTU SID doesn't know he has to do this.  Or maybe Coach Kehres doesn't want him to because at the time the playoff statistics didn't count so he is going with that.  Coach Kehres has ALWAYS been about the TEAM over individual accolades.  That is why you NEVER see a MTU player recognized as OAC player of the week.

According to the NCAA Records office in Indy, Mount Union has the option to count Borchert's regular and post season statistics in a combined manner (like any modern day player) but they've chosen not to do that at this time.

Says who? Or are you talking about the school's own record book? (A school can pretty much keep its record book as it damn well pleases.)
