Wow... a real, living breathing Otter fan...

OK, on to the real story, MUC-CAP...

HSCoach,

You know your counterpart on the Cap broadcast is Matt D'Orazio?

TV112-Sincere greetings to any new poster, but so much more to a poster with ties to an unrepresented institution. We''ve become so MUC, ONU, CAP, JCU inbreed that our off-spring are going to have big ears and funny teeth. ::)

Well maybe we're not there yet, but it's nice to have a fresh outlook. All I know about Otterbien is that I go past it every five years to go to the wife's Westerville South Reunion.

Welcome and good luck.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Please don't mention this word again... its something that I have to deal with daily..when produce trucks have to wait around.. they start asking for more money (detention).

Yeah, I saw that.  Hopefully Matt can keep up ;)
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

You gonna get his autograph?  ;D  He is a D3 legend and has a couple rings...

Is it weird or "bad taste" for one broadcaster to ask another for his autograph? ???

JK

TV112,
In all sincerity, welcome.  Despite your choice of team, it is nice to have some representation from the other conference schools, though historical precedence says they don't stick around long.  Hopefully you are the exception raher than the rule...

It will be nice to have an Otter around to pick on...

tv112

I will stick around, as will OTTER. I believe they will make a statement this week against BW at Home.

It would only be weird or bad taste if Matt asked for hscoach's autograph.  Exceptionally weird and exceptionally bad taste. ;D

What's the over/under here: Matt's Arena Bowl rings vs. the unused holes in hscoach's belt?

JK,

Who said D'Orazio isn't going to be the one after hscoach's autograph??  Have you see his spreads this year (and last) ??

RC:   I need a clarification on the over and under.  Do belt holes to the right of the buckle count and un-used?

And I don't know what you guys did in Ada for fun, but getting an autograph has nothing to do with "tasting" where I'm from.

TV112:  Welcome on board.  I hope you find this place somewhat amusing and helpful.  In spite of our obvious disfunction. ;D

The un-used holes would be those outside/beyond the buckle (if any) and they're unauthorized or illegal if you punch extras that the manufacturer never ended.

(OK I'll admit my dad has perfected that technique.)

And it was JK who coined the "taste" term.  So don't sully the reputations of those of us in Ada.  It must be a Bexley thing.  "Autographs" and "Ada" haven't been used in the same sentence ever.  You'll also never see "Ada" used in a sentence with "sophisticated", "metro", "urban" or "sprawling".

Ah, JK was the one with the tasting comment.  That makes perfect sense now, since he's from West Branch and all ;)

I wish I could come up with some witty response to that, but my WB and Capital educations clearly indicate I am a little slow...

Needless to say, I am a little fired up for Cap-MUC this weekend, but Kieth makes a good point in ATN.  Cap follows MUC by going to JCU for a night game and then has the Otters in Bernlohr.  Ouch.

JK

Briefly changing the subject...

Watching Jim Grobe's Wake Forest team pretty much dominate Clemson (though the score is only 3-0).  Got to thinking how many HC's of D1 top 25 teams have Ohio ties.  The answer is surprising...

12 of the top 25 HC's have ties to Ohio.  They are, in order-

1) Oklahoma- Bob Stoops is a native of Youngstown
2) Alabama- Nick Saban was an ass't at Kent St. and the HC at Toledo
3) Missouri- Gary Pinkel was the HC at Toledo
4) LSU- Les Miles is a native of Elyria
8 ) USC- Pete Carroll was an ass't at Ohio St.
11) Florida- Urban Myer was the HC at Bowling Green
12) Ohio State- Jim Tressel is all-Ohio (BW, YSU, Miami (OH), OSU)
16) Kansas- Mark Mangino played at Youngstown State
21) Wake- Jim Grobe was HC at Ohio U.
22) North Carolina- Butch Davis was HC of the Browns
23) Mich St.- Mark Dantonio was DC at Ohio St.
25) Ball St.- Brady Hoke is a native of Kettering

A lot of people around the country are pretty down on Ohio State, but maybe they shouldn't so quickly dismiss Ohio Football in general.  A lot of those fans have Ohio to thank in some way, shape, or form for their team's success.
