Whats up everybody. I finally decided to register. I have been a reader since I wore the purple uniform. Thought I should register so I can post my thoughts from time to time. I am b4uknewits son.

Once again Mount Union approaches the playoffs with anticipation. I wonder what R-M will bring. ONU type cowbells, Otterbeins PA Announcer, the yodelers of JCU, blowhorns or something new. I'm sure Ric and Mark will show their broadcast abilities and overcome all adversity.

A local HS player just broke the record for rushing yards in a season for our county and this was his quote in the paper:

Quote"It was hard," Golden said. "I didn't have that good of blockers, but we did all right. I just had to make it for myself."

We'll see how well his line blocks for him this week in the opening round of the playoffs!  LOL

St. Pete Times Story

Speaking as a former center, this kid wouldn't make it out of the locker room healthy enough to play in the next game >:(

I'm with you there, brother.  In fact, in my heyday, I might have confronted the kid in the locker room.

It's amazing that anything so stupid could have come out of this kid's mouth...

To the folks coming here to post, can we at least try something clever like "you've never seen a longsnapper like this before."  Just try to mix it up and keep it interesting for us.

raiderfan...I think you need to ask every team how their longsnapper is.  Make them really wonder what we're up to in Ohio!

That's not a bad idea.  I think I may head over to the other side and throw out a post like this:

Hey guys, just stopping by to see if anyone can give any insight to this weekends' game.  I really don't know too much about (insert any team over the next few weeks) except I have heard that they have one hell of a longsnapper.  How do you all see this playing in the outcome of the game?
They should have practiced harder.

Anyone know why Pierre wasnt returning kicks yesterday? They guy who they had returning had terrible numbers, so hopefully PG will be back in action next week.

He was probably tired from all the autographs he had to sign at that AutoZone in Greenwood, IN. last week.  If you don't get it, check back a few pages.
They should have practiced harder.

Anybody got a spread for this week yet?  And, does the scoreboard at Mount go to 100?  I was just looking over RMC schedule and results as well as cumulative stats, and this one has all the makings of something really ugly.

JK,

We had an issue with the junior QB that took over for our senior stud when he broke his hand in the last scrimmage.  Anyway, the new QB didn't take his job very serious to as we started the seaon.  It also seemed the new QB liked to hit the bottle during the week.  Especially on before the game.

However after a little "talk" from me and a couple other seniors, he straightened up and actually played pretty well.  It's amazing what a little motivation to keep all of your fingers intact will do to a young man  ;D
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Thank you... is that a record for a first round playoff game?

Welcome Florida Raider,

The more the merrier.

Should there be a 50 point rule for this game. And if the Raiders score 100 do we get a free Taco at Taco Bell?

Don't be so ashamed seventies, there have been some great burgers served at those joints over the years and Jeff still serves  pretty mean one at "Da Hood." I heard the Bier Haus has closed as well. Ahhhh the memories of free shrimp on fridays!

I plan on being there for next weeks Thanksgiving game. Hope to see ya there. This week it is off to Whitewater  A G A I N with the Johnnies. I am hoping that phrase...third time is a charm can be invoked.

Go Raiders.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

The guy who was returning kicks did have a 40+ yrd return. Hopefully this wasn't a permanent move.

I meant for a pre-game spread.  I remember that Bridgewater game, or at least the first half of it... ;D

Hey Brian, welcome and glad you joined in on the board. I know your dad will remember me from the Stagg as he hung out at our tailgate for a good time, enjoying the shrimpfest we had, lol. Let's get the Purple Machine back to Salem and then we can tailgate again, at least a breakfast tailgate! ;D

ABOUT THE STAGG
Somehow the city of Salem should scream abit about an early start to the Stagg. I would think there's plenty of lost revenue by an 11 am early game and ppl leaving after the game as opposed to staying the night and heading home on Sunday. But i guess that is only my opinion as Mount doesn't have to travel as far to get there as some.  But even teams coming from a further distance would mostly fly anyways, meaning they're out after an early start time as well.
