Are the bracket seedings I assume #1) East  #2)North #3)West #4) South?
just wondering in case two teams having the same seeding going into the semi-finals match up.

I'm not sure the NCAA directly reveals that, but, assuming MUC is #1, NCC (North) must be #4 since their scheduled to meet in the semis.

Dick Kaiser (chair of the selection committee for NCAA) said on his interview last sunday that Muc was a consensus #1, Millsaps consensus #2 and after some debate Willamette was decided as #3 and NCC #4.

Do you know if he mentioned any indication as to just what that debate/criteria was, other than MUC, of course? ???  Just curious.

He didn't but I assume the debate was around the fact that NCC was #2 North and whether they merited a #1 seed higher than Willamette who was a #1 seed all along. Effectively the committee decided that the 3 clear cut #1 seeds were higher than a #2 seed from another region.

Makes sense.  It will be interesting to see what plays out in all this for sure.

Garcon watch:

He's been dropped to #2 in the depth chart for kickoffs, none for punts.  No sighting so far tonight.

[But Fletcher still rocks for my son's Redskins!]

There he is ... Pierre threw a nice block so his replacement could make it beyond the 30.

I know this has nothing to do with Division 3 football, but somebody please tell me that Romeo Crennel won't be coaching the Browns in 2009.  Six lousy points at home against one of the worst teams in the league.  This is just not acceptable.

Trusnik had two nice tackles on special teams for the Jets.  I wonder what everyone else thinks about us DIII guys watching an NFL broadcast to watch some no-name guy on special teams.  I'm so bad I even play the punts and kickoffs back on the DVR to try to track our guys.

Derek Stanley had a helluva game today too.  Really helped me on that KR-happy fantasy league I'm in.

I spent 145 bucks for two Browns tickets to see the Colts because my son wanted to see Pierre. I probably could have checked the trash cans in the neighbor this week.

My son is only 12, so I can't vicariously live through him yet!   :D

I coached youth soccer for over a decade.  I've known parents doing that with kids younger than 12! :P

Well, he just eMailed me a martial-arts spoof vid that he and two friends made today.  With the music and special effects he added in editing, it's better than what his uncle and I made in college.  I am so nerd-proud!

But I still need Pierre to satisfy my D3 athletic dreams!

Good shot of Garcon on the kickoff team. PS he's the up man on the kick return team and a wideout on the punt team

I hope Willamette makes the Stagg Bowl. I'm sure their fans will be happy about a 9:00 am Stagg Bowl start

Yeah, what's up with that 11:00 starting time???

Division I-AA (sorry, FCS) championship is on the 19th.  DII on the 13th.  Are they moving us early to squeeze in the (gasp) NAIA?  [it starts at 12:00]
