Interesting call on the catch, I guess that was a make up for the one they clearly blew on the same play in the first half

BoBo

The one to Brandes in the 1st half seemed more of a completed catch than thar one!

There was a graphic ont he screen about teams meeting for a championship in consecutive seasons.  Bllomsburg and Lock Haven met 5 consecutive times for a Field Hockey championship.  MUC-UWW 4 in football, and TCNJ and someone 4 consecutive Womens LAX.

Our girl Pam just called TCNJ "Technical College of New Jersey."

THe first one was certainly more obvious than the second, however, they were both catches.  Clearly on the second one in the replay, Brandes foot was in bounds before his knee hit - very close, but indeed the foot dragged first.  I will say, though, that this definitely is not the best officiating crew that the Stagg Bowl has had in recent years.  While it obviously has had no direct effect on the game, it is a little disappointing.  Anyway, it looks like "all she wrote" now with that recent score and that Mount Union will be returning to the ranks of the national champion.  They are indeed a very excellent team.

Looks like the two missed FG's by UWW's "best kicker in D3" are going to loom large.

JK

Sorry MUC fans, your defense is getting shredded.

BoBo

But, their own defensive TD might be the difference in the game.

JK:
I was just thinking the same thing.  They would be ahead right now if he had made those.  That is a terrible feeling to have for any kicker no matter what team it is. :(

Looks like Mount Union had a slight let down here near the end of the 4th quarter.  A little too early celebration? ;) ;D

You are right, but the defensive TD balanced out the fumble by Micheli into the endzone.

JK

Congrats to MUC.  #10...amazing.

BoBo

Congrats to the Purple Raiders for your 10th championship.

The big plays in the first 6 minutes and the INT return loomed large, as did the missed Whitewater opportunities.

You were too strong when you needed to do be.

We'll see you again next year...for round 5.   ;)
