It would be cool to go to the site and see the clip from the ONU game a couple of years ago (the double spin and down the sideline) in place of Chuck. However, that is all up to Ric (c'mon, you know you want to!).

Actually I don't think that would be cool at all.   ;)

Why not?   I think that would be nice.    ;D

Keep the photo of Chuck Moore and ADD  a photo of Nate.

Have Chuck running in one direction and Nate the other.

Congrats to Larry and all his staff. I'd love to know how many of his fan votes came out of my classroom.  ;D

And as a Mogadore resident, teacher and coach, keep Chuck Moore as a still picture and add a flash movie of Nate

Congratulations to Larry Kehres and Happy 2009 to everyone.

RC,

Thanks for the info. The reason for my question is I know of a QB that was visiting Mount as a possible transfer. He had visited Mount during the playoffs. He had already visited Keeler and thought he was an a$$. He wanted to talk about his "collector car" rather than football.  Must have been a very perceptive kid. Not sure of the status of his desire to come to Mount. Liked meeting LK, Greg, Nate and the rest of the guys and coaching staff. Concerns about the size of the school. I mentioned that winning a National Championship was in the cards if that played into his decision. A great education was also included in that opportunity. I don't know much more about his background at this point but I think he has some skills since he came at the invitation of LK. Just have to wait and see. At least he saw through Keeler. ;)
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Congratulations to LK, and a Happy New Year to all.

reality check

2009 starts off right with Mentor native Ricky Stanzi passing to Avon Lake native Trey Stross for an Ohio to Ohio TD in the Iowa/S. Carolina game.

After looking at Kirk Ferentz's roster, I had no idea he had such a grip on northeast Ohio.  12 players from that area on the Iowa roster.
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

All of us that get a chance to watch the Bruce Drennen sports talk show on Cleveland know about Ricky Stanzi as the cousin of Ashley Collins, Bruce's news commentator. Some of the sicker ones of us only tune in on Thursdays, "Ask Ashley" day ;D

Ferentz also has his Size 12's in the door for the Brown's coaching job.

How about the Stoups and Pelini brothers

Interesting.  Thanks, RC.  I will mention this to my Iowa alumna wife.

I have watched Mount Union football since the mid-60s.  I've seen many memorable photographs of PRaider games and have many Mount football images burned in my memory.  Ric brilliantly chose the picture for the cover of his MtUnionFootball site.

The picture on the cover of Ric's site perfectly portrays PRaider football.  For me, the photo is Chuck Moore representing all Purple Raider footballers.  The image of Chuck draws my eyes to LK.  LK - in his characteristic position watching over play from behind the offense – is Purple Raider football.  Without LK, it is a good football picture.  With him, it is my "all-time" favorite sports picture.

It is Ric's choice as to how he may choose to honor Nate Kmic.  I hope he does it without changing The PRaider Picture.  I would, also, be opposed to changing the name of the Washington Monument to Reagan Monument or McKinley Monument to Obama Monument.

Moore may have overshadowed Kring, Pugh may have overshadowed Moore and Kmic has overshadowed all college running backs.  One day a player will overshadow Kmic.  I hope that player is a Purple Raider and his coach is Larry Kehres.

Coaches Saban, Matthews, Broyles and Kehres.

Theres a drop of several million from the beginning of that list to the end, but not much change in talent.

I'm sure the best part of all of it for Larry was the $50K donation to the charity of his choice and the $20K scholarship. Congratulations Larry

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for Ric to change the main picture.  He's way too busy on the "new job" to worry about such trivial matters. ::)
