Saintsfan:   Following Mount all these years has me spoiled.  I can't stomach watching a team that won't win 90+% of their games.  Therefore the Indians are off my to-do-list for 2009.  Sorry.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Dont be so quick to write CWRU off just becasue Whalen and 14 other senior starters wont be around any longer.

Debs has changed the direction of that school and has a quality foundation to work with.  While their wont be too many underclassmen opps this fall with so many returning starters, there are quality backups waiting for their chance.

I'll take the points.....

SaintsFAN

B4N,

Its not JUST the fact they lose 14 seniors and Dan Whalen --- which is alot bigger loss than you think.  Where would CWRU have been last year if they lost him in 2nd Quarter of Week 1 to an injury?  Definitely not 10-0.

JCU's defense is good... the OAC teams are much different than the UAA.  I've personally played against teams from both conferences --

I'll see if you're still around in 2010... you only started posting one year ago.  I don't want to have to chase you down for my money.  I'll use hscoach's family in Youngstown to do that --- we both don't want that.

If you still want that action --- we'll go with it.

Heard Greg wasn't at graduation. Surprised to hear that due to his academic career. Is this tied to football at all?

Yep--according to people who know (LK) he was in California for a tryout with the CFL.

I guess we can trust that source. LOL Thanks.

hscoach,

You should bring the fam down to the "Battle of Ohio"... Indians vs. Reds later this month.  They are in town on May 22-24

I'll be there with my Family.  Wife bought me tix for my birthday (May 23rd).  We're parking over by the Hofbrauhaus (might enjoy a few fine german beverages beforehand) and walking over the purple people bridge to the game.  Couple of the wife's cousins will be there as well (although I don't think Ceplauch will be one of them).

JK,

I don't think Cepluch ever leaves Trenton.  I haven't seen him since his wedding... and before that it was in 2003 for my wedding.  We'll talk beforehand to see if we're in the same area.  I usually pregame at Beer Cellar nearby and ride the boat over to the game.

Also... have you heard about the book being written about Terry Malone?  I'm being interviewed for it coming up shortly about my senior season (he won his 300th in week 8 that year).  Pretty cool to think my high school coach is going to be the subject of a book.

hscoach --- boo!  Though I certainly understand.  What do you do after the college football season is over and you are left with the Browns?  The only way they are 90% is if you count the losses!

Small but Slow

Funny, but made me wonder.  Has Timberlake done anything beside pushing the limits of broadcast television censors to keep himself relevant for the past five years or so?  At least this time there wasn't a wardrobe malfunction this time.  Before long he'll surface on the gay porn scene.

What do you mean "Before long he'll surface in the gay porn scene"? He started in n'sync - if that isn't gay porn then what is? ;D
