ONU broadcast team points out that this is the first TD the ONU defense has given up this season.

Simmons sounds sharp but everything's been short.  The live stats have Simmons listed as Pat but he's been Kyle since he came to ONU.... working out the kinks.

Pardon the non-football post on a football day.  But, I wanted to share with the board that the newest Purple Raider was born earlier this week to my wife and me.  Noah William was born on Wednesday morning.  Big hands and feet but skinny.  Maybe a receiver, or tight end if he really bulks up.  LK, no need to recruit him, I'll send him your way!

ONU still up 14-13, but their first 3 offensive possessions of the 3rd qtr....INT, fumble, fumble.  Come on Bears!

Turnovers on both sides in Ada.  Northern just picked off NC for the third time today.  NC's QB only threw 6 picks in 2008 and has three so far today.

Simmons has 168 yards so far which is better than any game last year and he still has a quarter and a half left

RC, you have to like how Northern's offense has come out of the gates today.  Simmons and Donley both appear to be playing well and they're moving the ball consistently.

More total offense today than any game last year.  The offense is clicking and balanced.  This is an offense to be excited about.  Everything has been underneath passing but Simmons is hitting his receivers when it counts.  On the last two possessions, when we needed the clock to roll, Simmons is 3-3 with a TD.  Everything else has been positive gains on the ground.  Roll clock roll...

Brent Donley 29 carries, 144 yards and 3 TD's.  Northern forces 3 INT's and wins against a top-five team...

Something I didn't think I'd ever hear.  A Blanchord just score a TD on a QB keeper for Whitewater, who'd a thought!
