Pierre is projected to score 7 Fantasy Points this week per ESPN.

He went from 0.01% owned to 0.06% owned. People are noticing!!!

This OSU talk makes me yawn. Is it time for MUC again? That bye week seemed longer than the offseason!

Amen.
Tressel (fellow D3 player) is one of the great coaches in the country.  He's not perfect.  He dresses like it's 1965.
Enough about Tressel and the Buckeyes for awhile.
Go Raiders!Go Raiders!Go Raiders!
How's that?  :D

One advantage I see to the OAC Scheduling is they come into camp on the earliest date possible and have a bye week to adjust after having live games. It's like getting an extra week of practice every year.

Raiders loose that cushion the next two years to play UW Oshkosh since they play in week 2 both years. It delays their camp by a week and they loose the bye altogether. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do to get someone to play you.  >:(

This is exactly the sort of thing I meant by a week 2 bye offering some scheduling flexibility.  I just hadn't done the scouting of future schedules to see it would show up so soon.

With this idea of an "extra" week of pratice, they would still be able to start early if, for example, they played weeks 1-5, took a week off and then played the remainder of the games.  It does have a different feel to not have that early season opportunity to make adjustments.  Right now it's almost like a pre-season game in that the players get to experience live action, then go back to the field to work on the holes that were discovered at game speed.  It's just a pre-season game that can actually mean something in the standings.

Most feel the biggest improvement occurs between game #1 and #2.  Which plays right into the extra week the way the schedule is right now.  I don't like the idea of giving up that extra week next year with the lack of experience Mount will start camp with.  I know it's early and the starting lineup could change as the season progresses, but at this point we're looking at only returning the following starters for 2010:

LG - John Nicolozakes
WR - A.J. Claycomb
LB - Sam Kershaw
CB - Chaz Jordan
FS - Alex Ferrara

With 17 new starters, losing that extra week of practice could hurt.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

FYI,  Capital is streaming live video of all their home games this season.  The Berg on Saturday is the first time this will occur.  Pre-game starts at 1 and the game is at 1:30.

I'll be watching, you might want to check it out too.

HScoach,

I see your point given the number of starters for 2010 is only 5 players at this point.

Going into 2008, there were only 6 starters if I recall, but two of them were
Kmic and Micheli. No doubt Coach Kehres  recognizes the potential lack of starters returning and hence the emphasis on more freshman than normal on the Varsity. I think we will see many younger players getting playing time this season  if the game situations permit it.

while that would be a ton of new starters, but I think the amount of PT for the backups during this season negates some of that

Anybody that would like a 2000 ONU football media guide with Jamal on the cover plus the Mount Union game notes, I just stuck it on eBay. Gonna be cleaning out some sports stuff with limited sentimental appeal to me. Nothing sentimental about War Memorial

I forgot to post the link to the video feed for Cap-berg on Saturday.  It's via Stretch Internet, and plays in Adobe Flash player, so if you are going to watch, I'd recommend going a little early and getting it set up.

NCAA: If possible could you spend more that 100 bucks on parking lot and halftime entertainment for the Stagg Bowl this year

Pat: Just reread your sleeper prediction from last week. Buffalo State and SJF. Can you define "close"  ;)

If ONU decides to bring the "A" game this week, they may give MUC a contest. They have always been ready to play, however for the most part it is a paddy cake-paddy-cake thing, like SJF had. They ONU have the speed & skill players to test the Raiders and I'm sure we'll see some different things from the MUC "O" this game. No messing around from here on.

GO RAIDERS !!!!!!
