Via CBS-Sports:

The injury [to Gonzales] left the Colts (1-0) perilously thin at receiver. Aside from Reggie Wayne, the only other healthy receivers on the roster are second-year pro Pierre Garcon and rookie Austin Collie, a fourth-round draft pick from Brigham Young.

Both put in extra time in the film room this week.

"Pierre is going to be a big part of our game plan, Austin Collie, too, no question," Manning said. "But this is the NFL. You can't just draw up a play and say this ball has got to go to Dallas Clark. Pierre has worked hard over here, I think he spent six hours over the last two days studying film and Austin has done that as well."

They did sign another veteran, so this may be Pierre's best chance to shine.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

If ONU decides to bring the "A" game this week, they may give MUC a contest.

GO RAIDERS !!!!!!

We need a challenge, y'all ONU pharmacy students!

Can't wait til Saturday at 1:30!   Give me an A!  Give me a DA!...

(Hey, where is everybody?  Must be a major game on tonight) ???

Kehresma,

You are correct right, this board is very quiet, but the game on TV

GT/Miami is not a nail bitter. I would think the Raiders/ONU will not be either. As far as ONU bringing their "A", I am not sure what that is at this point yet?

When Tiger Woods brings his "A", he wins by 8 strokes, when he does not
he either wins or comes close. The Raiders will be ready for ONU, we will see if HScoach's line happens. I think it will, and also a leading running back could pull away from the pack. We'll see! ::)

Does anyone know the weather forecast for Ada? It is supposed to be sunny in Northeast Ohio on Saturday.

my money is on Lemmon as the running back who will separate from the pack....Morring move to FB..he has FB body and speed..Lemmon has shown me some "Kmic-like" qualities than the other current backs...will he be Kmic?  never...Kmic is once in a generation...of course so was Moore, Pugh,Kern, Borchert, Woolf, Bubonics, Hallett, Atwood, Marino, Garcon, Micheli, Knapp, ...I could go on and on, but you catch the drift...
Is it the system that creates the athletes or the athletes who create system??  chicken or egg??

I happen to like Tyler Harris at RB too. He did well in the limited action last year and the same might be said from the SJF game. Seems to have some very good speed. LK will certainly work it out.

Go Raiders Defrost the Polar Bears!
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Skunk, Jr., and I are making the trek to Ada.  Anyone else heading that way?  Anyone tailgating?

I am interested in seeing if ONU can step up their game, and give Mount a battle.

First problem is that it has to be stored somewhere on the internet with an address you can link it to like Photobucket. It should also be a reduced size or thumbnail size. There are hundreds of free photo sites including Google. Mostly they require a short signup and an email address.

A short lesson from the unemployed computer teacher. For the Quoting seminar, please refer to HSCoach :D

Bye the Bye-If you know anyone who ran track at Mount Union in the 1960's besides me, please tell them there is a reunion at homecoming this year. We are also supposed to be honorary starters for the Run-a-Muc 5k race which I don't think is a good idea. We'll probably lose one or two when the starters gun goes off. Canes and walkers optional.  BYOO (Oxygen)

Quote from Around the Nation this week:

QuoteThat said, perhaps the most interesting bit of feedback came from a prominent player on a Texas team. In part, he wrote of Mount Union:

"If they were to play Hardin-Simmons or UMHB to start off the season it would a different story as you can tell HSU and UMHB aren't afraid of opening up going up North to play football because we realize that no other team gives us a good look until we play against each other."

I posted the same thing on the ATN board with a response.

I haven't seen "middle guard" used in quite some time.  I expect Frank Uible will be in here shortly to share a history lesson or two on the term.
