The Wildcat TD was one more snap that I thought Shorts would ever see. And as for LK running up the score against his friend and former player Dean Paul, come on dude, that's more like Moronic.

My PC is trashed, enjoy a quiet week without me 8)

Remember when BW was known for their tough D and 6-4 records?  Man those were the days....

(And yes this post is the product of me foolishly backing the Jackets again in the pick em.  Fool me once...)

Thanks HSCoach......I was trying to be "nice" to the guy by calling him dude and silly.  If you know ANYTHING about LK and the Mount program, you know that he will bend over backwards to not rub a win in the opponents face.  So believe me when I tell you he certainly thought the game was still in doubt, hence the 4th down pass.  To suggest it was anything else but the correct call is...hmm..let's see.......IDIOTIC!

As the easily offended one that offends HSCoach--I am not offended by this use of sometimes offensive language. ;)
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

Cap joins the top 25 this week giving the OAC 4 teams...#1 MUC, #9 ONU, #18 Ott and #25 Cap.  Good to see ONU only drop 2 spots after their effort Saturday.

BIG game in Westerville this week.  Nothing like making your case for the playoffs in the 3rd game of the season!  Of course, I suppose ONU has already made a pretty good case already...

ONU slipping two spots is totally fair.  They're back to where they were prior to the bye week.  Unless someone drops the ball, MUC and CAP will be 4-0 in two more weeks.  ONU and OTT have to battle next week but if ONU wins there, then  they should be 3-1 after 4 games.  That would make OTT 3-1 as well.  JCU should win its next two as well to be 3-1 with a close loss to a sneaky good Thomas More.  That means in two more weeks, there's a very good chance we have 5 top 25 teams.  There may be a lot of great battles in the second half of the season since it seems all the top-tier teams play the Wilma/Muska/Etta/Berg games early.

Isn't having JCU in the top 25 a little premature seeing that they didn't get ANY votes this week?  Besides, it's difficult to get 4 teams ranked; I have never seen 5.
At this point of the season, MTU, ONU, OTT and CAP all deserve to be in the TOP 25.

My roommate (a non D3 guy) asked me how far ONU would drop.  I guessed they would drop to 10th and he was surprised.  I had to explain that unlike the AP poll in DI, the voters in the D3 poll are actually good.  There's no "automatic" drop of 5 spots or whatever just for losing.  Thus the D3 poll is actually worth something.

Actually, with a halftime tie, I was mildly surprised they dropped at all!

Skunks,

You only further embarass yourself with another attempt at personal criticism and name calling. Frankly, I'm embarassed for you.

If "silly" and "dude" constitutes name calling in your book then you really need some help. Perhaps if you remove your head from your arse you would be able to breathe a little easier and relax. Personally you are being a bit of a jackass, horses ass, a**hole, or blatant pain in the ass - take your pick. Now that can be called name calling. I apologize if I have offended anyone on the board and only hope that I will learn from this experience and thus become a stronger person tomorrow - oops! Sarcasm!!!

reality check

The point I was trying to make was that the schedule allows an opportunity for 5 OAC teams to be in the top 25 if all goes well.  I would think that this is a mathematical rarity due to scheduling.  It is indeed possible and plausible.  Now as far as 4 teams go, there have been a number of times that 4 OAC teams were ranked and I know of at least a couple times that a fifth was receiving votes (Week 3 2003 and others I don't feel like researching).

Yes it's presumptuous, but that's kind of what a prediction is all about.  I think that the schedule falls in a way that with 5 teams in the OAC at 3-1 or better, there's a chance for 5 top 25 teams.  We will see when all the chips fall where they fall.

I wonder how many of the DIII voters have an assistant cast the ballot for them?
