I have not heard anything about Seaman, so sorry I have no update....maybe thats good news.

As I think back onto Media Day, I wonder if Mount is thinking of a "Black-Out" night with the new black pants and black jerseys.  I would see a night game as the best venue, ie this week....and it would go with the new "university" plans, sadly.   I was wondering if anyone has heard anything or thought the same?

I don't know about an anti-d3 bias at ESPN.  There are several guys there, including a couple of sportscenter anchors, who are from Ohio, including one from Heidelberg (Buchigross, I believe).

Not to mention, the "family of networks" scrolls the scores of all the playoff games at the bottom of the screen and does broadcast the Stagg, even if they do send Pammy...

JK

After a brief Wikipedia search, John Buccigross is indeed a graduate of Heidelberg.  Also current ESPN guys with D3 ties, Neil Everett is a grad of Williamette, and Karl Ravech graduated from Ithaca.

Their press release today said so.

Get to tour the modern Heidelberg (haven't been there since I was in college) on 10/12. Watch out Coach Mike, I may just be knocking on your door.

If Pierre is getting compared to Reggie Wayne, that is high praise. He is unbelievable. Austin Collie may be pushing PG to up his game as well .

My prayers to the Jones Family. I hate to see people younger than me die or anybody with a family that size. I'll quit bitching about my back.

Chris Berman mentioned the same comparison on the MNF half time report and showed a highlight of Pierre's TD. Way to go Pierre! ;)

I heard Berman mention that as well. I actually think he said the PG is a "stronger, faster, more physical version of Reggie Wayne" - or something similar to that.

Well one was me, 68 and after him catching a deep ball for a TD, I'm not ready to crown it yet.  I will gladly eat crow when its done consistently like Sean Jackson of the eagles has.

I'm rooting for the guy, but IMO your puffing your chest out about this subject a little prematurely.

SaintsFan,

In earlier posts I said Pierre will have to improve each week to compete
on the NFL level. The numbers show two TD's of 48 and 53 yards, that is stretching the field. I do agree though it is only a start, but a good start.

I'm still going to disagree...  how is it stretching the field on the screen pass against the Dolphins???  Thats why you can't just look at a boxscore.

Watching him the last two weeks I have to say I believe he will help stretch the field.  Against the Dolphins on that screen he got open field and just pulled away from everyone, on the 53 yarder Sunday he did the same thing.  He is just faster than most of the other players and he runs good routes.  He will be stretching the field.  It will be sick when Gonzales comes back and they go 4 wide.

SF my man!  If PG doesn't play another down it's still an occasion for a Mount fan to pound his chest.  Are you kidding me????  STILL in the league going on two years, and now has two touchdown catches in the last two games.  Enough said.........

I would like to see Pierre and Cecil line it up and race.  Does anyone know if that ever happened?  Cecil SEEMS faster, but it's really hard to tell.  I wonder if Cecil can set/break the TD record for a receiver in a year?  Anyone know what that number is for D-III?

I am missing the B-W game in protest because SF is not making the trek up.  Actually, I am going to be in Miami Beach celebrating an important birthday.  Sun, beach, booze, views, and fun........ 8)

Will this be one of those "typical" B-W games where they hold Mount down score-wise, while never really getting into the game, or a blowout?

Most TD Passes Caught - Season:
26 - Jack Phelan - Hartwick - 2008 - 10 Games
26 - Scott Pingel - Westminster (MO) - 1998 - 10 Games

Cecil has 6 TD Receptions in 3 Games.  Has to average 2.8 TDs in the remaining 7 games or 1.67 TDs per game (if they make it to the Stagg Bowl) to tie the record.

Thanks KD!  That seems a tall order.......but IF they make it to the Stagg, I guess it might be possible.

Kirasdad,

What is the Raider single season record and who holds it.? I thought it was
either Marino or PG.

I seriously doubt it.  B-W gave up 38 points to a Franklin team that was replacing their entire offensive skill people including a stud QB and then gave up 43 to John Carroll who was also starting a new QB and TB.

If B-W can't stop Franklin and JCU with new skill people, what will MUC do to them?

Their win over Etta wasn't impressive either as they surrendered 347 yards of offense and 20 first downs.  Including 136 on the ground at a 4.6 yards per carry average!

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I don't know Sidekick, Dubs has a new D-Coordinator, one of the few things they DIDN'T NEED. Like ONU it does seem to be their game plan against Mount, throw everything at the offense and try to make their own luck. Granted, sitting back and letting Shorts roam wouldn't be much of a plan
