Will this be one of those "typical" B-W games where they hold Mount down score-wise, while never really getting into the game, or a blowout?

I seriously doubt it.  B-W gave up 38 points to a Franklin team that was replacing their entire offensive skill people including a stud QB and then gave up 43 to John Carroll who was also starting a new QB and TB.

If B-W can't stop Franklin and JCU with new skill people, what will MUC do to them?

Their win over Etta wasn't impressive either as they surrendered 347 yards of offense and 20 first downs.  Including 136 on the ground at a 4.6 yards per carry average!

Yeah you better have some good stories to talk about to keep your listeners entertained during quarters 2, 3 and 4.

skunks --  I'm proud of any d3 guy.... did you know the OTHER 85 in that game was from Trinity?  Been in the league for 4 years.  Garcon will be there at least that long.  My issue is using stats to back up the analysis.  In this case... its misleading.  His 48 yard TD against Miami was on a bubble screen and would NOT be an example of being a "down the field threat".

I don't know Sidekick, Dubs has a new D-Coordinator, one of the few things they DIDN'T NEED. Like ONU it does seem to be their game plan against Mount, throw everything at the offense and try to make their own luck. Granted, sitting back and letting Shorts roam wouldn't be much of a plan

I would give a certain bodypart to be Mount's QB this week throwing to Shorts, Claycombe and Petruziello if BW throws the kitchen sink at MUC offense.  I would be calling for "scissors" all day and motioning Shorts across the formation so his route is the wheel part of the "scissors" (and he has a running start).... and then throw it as long as I can down the sideline.  Dimes!

Don't know if anyone else saw it, but Pierre was on ESPN2's First Take this morning.  The interview took place in the second hour, if anyone is looking for video online.

Thumbs down for the "black-out" against BW, btw

Offically Black-out night at Mount Union Stadium this Saturday: MEN in Black III (Cheerleaders dressed like Lara Flynn Boyle, or not) 8). I actually think it's great. Been wearing black Mount sweatshirts, windbreakers and my all-time favorite the  Gear all black wind suit for years.  I will speak for the departed because I know Raider66 was a big fan of the "Black Nasties" as he referred to the black "playoff" and big game jerseys. My black 99 Johnny Josef jersey hangs proudly in the rec room next to Paul Shueys' Indians'  jersey and Travis Fryman's Mahoning Valley Scrappers jersey.

We know black isn't one of our colors per se, but it makes for so much better looking uniforms. I'm just amazed we are doing it at home. That's a whole lot of black jersey's and pants. Anything but those hugly purple pants

BLACK-OUT  (Purple Suit, you can borrow one of my black suits) :D

Talked to some of the coaches at lunch today--they said Seaman was doing fine and has been practicing with the team all week.  Just feeling bad after the game and went to the hospital as a precaution.
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

BTW The Mount cheerleaders have been in all black for as long as I can remember.  (which ain't long) I know, you guys have just been looking at their faces. 8) ;D ;)

I admitt that purple on black looks good, I own some gear in that combo, I just don't think all balck is especially attractive.  I like to see some color on the field.  But I'll wear some black on Saturday just to get in the spirit.

I am glad that the pants say "Raiders" on the legs, other wise I might think I was watching Whitewater.

Thanks Guys on the info on Seaman and the Raiders single season
TD mark.

I hope the all Black is a rare occasion. UWW has used that for several
games and the Raiders do not need to copy them.

In terms of uniform combinations, I like the Purple jersey/white pants
or the white jersey/ purple pants.

Saints Fan,

Let's call a truce on the PG stretching the field. What I noticed on Sunday
that he is very active in blocking downfield ( got a holding call as well)

All the best to all the D3 guys in the NFL. Heard that Stanley from UWW
is getting a look by Detroit. They could use some help!

13 time Division III National Champions

reality check

ONU utlized the black on black when I was there and omitted the orange completely.  I thought it was kind of cool but admit that I loved the orange jerseys when they returned for a game or two a year.  I love the look ONU has had for the last couple years but admit a return to the all-black would be cool once in a while too.

Saintsfan - Two weeks til ONU/BW game.  Are we still on?  I think I may have some family joining me for the trip to Ada but don't know for sure yet.

Hopefully the black pants (1st time in team history) brings them the same luck as the Browns and their brown pants, remember the 1st time in team history they wore them it didnt go to well, and has'nt every other time they have worn them. :)
