My personal congrats to Jason Trusnik on first,  coming home to play football and secondly being all over the filed total in the Browns victory. Three takles and he was involved in a lot of other plays.

Seventies,

Another OAC player on TV tonight PG! Colts vs. Titans

London Fletcher had a pretty decent day against the Panthers today. Not dominating or anything, but I heard his name several times. Washington also had a guy from Salisbury on the roster, but I am not even sure that he played on special teams. If he did, he had a real quiet game. I was still glad to see two D3 guys on the same NFL team, though.

Not 100% sure but I believe that is Monmouth, NJ a DI FCS team, along with the fact that he is from Garfield NJ which is about 1/2 to 1 hour from Monmouth.

But I did pick him up for my fantasy team yesterday and he cleaned up for me today.

Anybody watching the Denver / New England game?  Perhaps this will inspire new unis at BW. :D

Not much good can come of those colors.
I saw those Denver throwback unis, BW colors.  Those unis were worse than the Ducks unis, but not BW.  Ugly!  Brown and yellow just don't make it, IMHO.  :P

Watched Colts vs Titans.  They weren't throwing the ball in Pierre's direction tonight.  Looked like the Colts plan was to throw at single coverage on the other side much of the night and go across the middle to Dallas Clark and rookie Austin Collie.  Reggie Wayne had a few good catches and one sure TD drop in the end zone.  Garcon made some good blocks, but Manning just wasn't throwing to right side much at all.

Have you also seen what North Central has been doing in the CCIW?  They put up 83 points yesterday...

Putting up 83 points on North Park is not an accomplishment.
I had to look at their game stats.  NCC threw just 13 passes (all complete).  They had 85 yds in penalties.  NCC just ran over them.  They didn't do the slide near the goal line or kick field goals just to give their kicker practice as some dominating teams do against out-matched opponents.

No, but their freshmen were in more than half the game... That's what dominating teams do against outmatched opponents (unless, of course, the dominating teams aren't truly dominating after all)!!

So, with all the success of the MUC program, how come they don't stream ALL their games online?

There are MUC graduates all over that would like to watch the team more than once or twice a year.
Great big ditto!
I'd pay-per-view.  Let's get it going.  SID, are you listening?

I've seen Mount twice this year on the Internet: St John Fisher and Capital.  How do they do it and Mount can't?

Because instead of spending money to stream the games, they'd rather spend the money to realize that "everybody else is doing it" and become a university.

In Lenny's defense, they have been kinda busy getting a new/refurbished Health and PE  facility up and running. Check it out when your in towm. New all computer touch screen Hall of Fame. All new offices and classrooms etc. New wellness equipment, new track, new aux gym.  Lenny who is now communicating on Facebook, Twitter will get there with video. You can watch al ot of other sports already.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

What is it about our society today that makes people think that in order to celebrate our successes we must demean those who we have succeeded against?  What happened to celebration without humiliation?  Too many individuals seem to think that we must rub the opponent's nose in it rather than being grateful and celebrating the accomplishment of success.

In a game like today's, while one team was victorious, there aren't any losers.  There are just men (and boys) who have played with valor and pride and put it all on the field.  The individual accomplishments, the pride in a job well done--a battle well fought--are what we should celebrate.

Some of you (JK included) have served in situations where a mistake costs people lives--where a fumble means someone may die--where an errant throw may destroy the world of innocent bystanders--in situations when it really matters.  This is just a football game.

I am a huge fan of Mount Union football, but I also recognize that, had Capital won the game, the sun would still come up tomorrow for all of us, Cap fans and MUC fans alike--and that the world will continue to turn--and that I should be thankful for my health and the health of my family and friends.

I know that HSCoach's tag line of being offended by easily offended people is, in part, a jab at comments that I made last year--but I really don't think that my personal offense at the boorish behavior of any fans, and especially Mount fans falls into the category of being easily offended--

Okay, I'll get off my soap box now--but these a$$hole$ really get my hackles up.

Peace.  Out.

Been checking remotely, and can't always tell who says what that way... but theaprof, this is well said +K.

Had a very good Saturday making the trip up with RC, his mother and my girlfriend.  RC's mom and my girlfriend pretty much just stuck together the whole time, letting us kinda just focus on the football game.  ONU's Homecoming game is quite an experience with the carnival atmosphere and what not.  Ohio Northern played well.... HC has a WR (85, I think) who can fly... and is tall... he made a few plays, despite being doubled up most of the game.  I was really impressed with Simmons from ONU, who is slippery and also with how hard the HC kids played.  Even when they were down 31-0, there was no quit in them.

I know Coach Hallett hates losing, and I felt badly for him... I didn't really know what to say to him after the game but they are definitely headed in the right direction in Tiffin.  When they develop some depth, look out.   Also, Kenny Sims ran REALLY hard.  He was a load... he was the best RB on the field.

After the game, rc got us down on the field to say hi to Coach Hallett and then we toured the facilities with Coach Paul while the ladies hung out in the players lounge.  It was a good day in Ah-duh (as my girlfriend was calling it)...

You guys should ask RC about his Friday.... how that went.  The entire day.

Awful arrogant for you to come on to the OAC board and start bragging about a 2nd place CCIW team that got beat by the current 5th Place OAC team.

What did I miss? I was looking at game stats and it was saying Cecil Shorts was kicking off?? I know he has some skills but what is that all about? We have 47 kickers in camp and that's who we use? What happened to the new kid from Denmark or Sweden or whatever that was booming them in the St John Fisher game? And a kid from Jordan, MN right around the corner from me who was kicking last week? We can't be trying out kickers now? Just wanted to get some feedback.  :)

One of the kickers also wears #10.  Must have been a mistake by the statistician.  Ric and HSCoach were talking about that during the broadcast.  The kicker is like 5'9" and 170 lbs, not quite the same build as Cecil.
