Perfect!  Do you have that copyrighted?  Would you mind if I borrow it some time?   :D

I seem to have lost my Congressional Medal of Honor around here somewhere :D

BTW I'm in the new touch screen Mount Union Hall of Fame  ;) If you go to Track and Filed and press Vaughn Davis, I'm the guy standing next to Vaughn. I knew I'd make somehow  ;D

What is the touch screen HOF at MUC?  Is this new?

Instead of putting up all the old HOF pictures in the newly renovated MAAC, there is a touch-screen unit in the lobby outside the basketball courts with Bios and pictures.

Let's see, 1958 I was 10

It's already passed by for this fall, but for the right price I might be able to squeeze another one in. ;)

I was reading the Keith's ATN and saw a quote from St. John Fisher's coach on the importance of winning the conference:

"We could've won that Mount Union game and it didn't guarantee us anything," Vosburgh said. "But we win the Empire 8, and we're in the playoffs."

Um - I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, no. No you couldn't have won that Mount Union game. Granted I understand the statement - just found it funny that he said that after losing 52-10 and a combined 163-37 in four games. Plus - it would have guaranteed SJF 3 things: ESPN highlight, frontpage of D3 football, and every school in D3 would be talking about SJF for at least one week.

Oh well, gotta get my pick-ems in.

I think it's clear that that's a hypothetical statement, desertraider.

Perhaps it would have made more sense to you like this:

"If we had won that Mount Union game it wouldn't guarantee us anything," Vosburgh said. "But we win the Empire 8, and we're in the playoffs."

rscl70,

Thanks
I think that had to do with the schedule that was set up with ST John Fisher when they set up the two game series and Mount should have been away the first year.
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Raiderguy,

Despite Mount's great away record, their home performance overall is  better ( other than the 2005 ONU loss). By peformance I mean the stats, atmosphere and support. Regarding wins and losses over the years, the records may be different. 92 wins away vs. 110 at home, but that may not be accurate.

Bushman,

You are right, I was back in Ohio to see the ONU and MHB, those hurt.

On balance this year's Raiders have had stronger opponents away for
the first half, than recent memory.

Its been a long week.  I'm not sure I'm following your posts here this afternoon.  Are you saying Mount Union has better fan support at home.. more than they do on the road??

SaintsFan,

You right it has been along week. Probably more the atmosphere at home.
Attendance at away Mount games has been really good. From the opponent's fans perspective, it is great to see one's home team play a national contender year upon year.

I guess to put it another way, playing 4 of your first 6 games away and having a new QB and new RB's is alot to address even for the Raiders.
The good news is that the team's performance is getting better and Coach
Kehres has to feel like things are starting to jell more.  I look and analyze
a lot of comparison stats from year to year, and this year's team is not where others were yet, but the numbers will improve.

Thanks for bearing with me after a tough week!
