Ric's bad week has allowed Reality Check to open up an eight point lead in the Pick-Em's.  Only two weeks to go and RC is running away with it.

Results for Week 9 have been posted.

Just food for thought. If the Ott's win next week wouldn't they be the automatic qualifier?

If Ott wins next  week I'll put that silly bird on my profile

You'll like the spread set on this one:  OTTERBEIN (+40.5) at MOUNT UNION

Spreads for Week 10 have been posted.

Even though Scafe is a CWRU grad, the Spartans are grateful to JCU for hiring him and leaving CWRU Perella/Debeljak.

HScoach,

It will be tough to catch RC, wonder what spreads might have been
if OTT would have won easily. The Raiders are getting better, except
a little sloppy in the second half. :)

The game in Columbus (Cap/ONU) will be a good one!

Tripped to the Shula and ,as always, the setting was beautiful.  Rocco looked sharp. Was sent by a JCU fan to Jack's Deli after the game.  Thought I'd died and gone to heaven .  The corned beef sandwich was perfect.

i have to say Rocco's happy fee in the pocket drive me nutso, but his ability to elude for a big kid are amazing, Just keep firing those rockets to Cecil and AJ.

You promise? This same bet didn't turn out too well for JK!!

Which one of you turkeys told me that marietta was a really bad football team?  Their offense had over 456 yards against the number 7 team in the country.   Now Schlosser doesn't play defense.  MC QB moved his team up and down the field against OC.  For them to be a really bad football team, if true, then so is OC.

Ott's loss really opens things back up for Cap, methinks...

I think ONU, as others have stated, has the inside track to a Pool C Bid now.  Even though they lost to Otterbein.  The loss to Otterbein, a top 25 team at the time, is not as bad as losing to Marietta in week 8.  That's gotta hurt Otterbein's SOS and regional ranking.  That is unless Otterbein wakes up and beats MUC this week.

I'll put the bird in my profile as well if MUC loses to Otterbein.  :)

If the QB wouldn't have gotten hurt and they wn by 20+ like they should have, the spread probably would have been around 21 to 24.

I just have a sneaking feeling theat LK and company have something special in store for Otterbein.  The Cardinals have been one team over the years that LK likes to drill into the ground.  Not sure what the issue is with Joe Loth, but there is something there.

Could it be all the holding of Pierre 3 yrs ago at Ott with no calls? Also the chorus line charade at the start last year's game didnt help to keep them on the Christmas card list i'm sure. Who knows, but Likewise the Cards will have every incentive to do what they can to salvage their season in next week's game. GO RAIDERS!!

MUC Avg. Margin of Victory over OAC Opponentes in the Regular Season since 2004:

BW  - 25.8/G
CAP - 27.0/G
HEID - 51.3/G
JCU - 45.8/G
MAR - 48.6/G
MUSK - 44.2/G
ONU - 25.0/G
OTT - 41.8/G
WIL - 50.5/G

To everyone's susprise, MUC drills all of us into the ground on a regular basis.  How scary is it that they've averaged better than three TD's on every OAC opponent over the last five years.  BW strung together losses of 17, 14, 14 at one point but turned around and got whooped by 35, 45 and 30.  JCU stuck within 7 but also fell short by 70.  ONU only benefits from having actually won a game to skew their numbers.

I guess this makes me wonder if LK has some place special in his heart for Loth, then it appears he's got similar spots for Heacock, Scaife, Snell, Collins, Paul, Bickel, Filkovski, Logan, Hallett, Wulf, etc.

I played in that game. I'm pretty sure Pierre got thrown out before halftime.
