Throw The Roc, Rocco.

Mount Single Season Passing Record

Name Yards Att. Comp.. Int. Pct.  TD Year
1. Greg Micheli 3,743 320 240 2 .750 36 2008
2. Mike Jorris 3,736 378 253 11 .669 26 2006
3. Greg Micheli 3,515 327 238 6 .728 34 2007
4. Jim Ballard 3,304 314 229 11 .730 37 1993
5. Bill Borchert 2,933 272 190 1 .699 47 1997

If Mount "wins out", Kurt Rocco may be on track to overtake the passing records of some particularly awesome Mount QBs.  After eight games, Kurt has 2,103  yards.  At nearly 263 yards per game with, potentially, seven more games, Rocco could approach 3,943 yards this season.  Not bad for a kid with happy feet that many thought coulda, shoulda, woulda been replaced by now.  If he moves into the elite of MUC passers, it will be a fitting reward for the young man's dedication and commitment to, and shining example of, "the Kehres way".

I know, don't count your Mucaws before they're hatched.  One game at a time.  That's what Larry Kehres and Company do.

Speaking of MUC single season passing records, consider single season receiving records.  I just came to realize that Cecil Shorts III holds the single season receiving record.  And, that if Mount wins out and barring injury to Cecil, he will obliterate his own single season record and threaten the career record.

Frosting on the cake for Kurt and Cecil would be to set the longest touchdown pass at 99 yards - today, against our friendly Otters.  I think that would be a kick in the pants for LK and Company.

Not only lost, but lost at home to a Columbus city team.  And it wasn't Brookhaven.  Yikes.  Not that they weren't still an excellent all around team, but Swigert's injury came back to haunt them as many thought it might.  Head up though...10-1 is a great season for any school.

Does this theory work for Mount Union???
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

For those interested, SportsTime Ohio will be replaying the Otterbein-Mount Union game tonight at 10pm.

As a Cardinal fan, I bet you're as happy as I am with ONU being up 21-7 over Capital right now.  Enjoying the videocast right now.  Getting a good connection.

ONU puts another on the board right before halftime 21-7 ONU.

Plus they get the ball back to start the second half...

Not looking good for Cap right now.

Can't get the video or audio here in the Armory at drill,  only live stats

JK

quick first half in Bexley.  Mostly forgettable for Cap...

Musky just tied up JCU 21-21 with under a minute left in the first half.
