RC,

WTF???

Why does ONU go for it on 4th and 2 from the cap 18 when your kicker just drilled a 49 yarder?  Another FG would have iced it...

Instead they give cap a little bit of life by not getting it.

reality check

ONU misses an opportunity.  On 4th and 2, Simmons underthrows a wide open receiver on the goal line.  The ball should have been caught but the pass was a little low.  There wasn't a CAP player within ten yards on the crossing route at the goal line.  I would have felt a lot better about this if we put one in the end zone.

CAP ball.

I would have gone for it too JK.  Up ten, a FG puts you up 13.  It's still two scores.  Two TD's means about the same as a TD and a FG.  It's still two possessions.  And the playcall was on point, just poorly executed.

Moot point now as Cap goes 3 and out...

Donley goes in from 15.  ONU's up 17 with less than 3 left.

JCU 43 yard TD pass with 23 seconds left gives them the 31-28 victory.

Holy cow, I spoke too soon.  Muskingum with a 32 yard TD pass as time expires to win the game.

reality check

CAP scores on a deflected pass in the end zone.  Acrobatic catch by second receiver as he hurdles over the intended receiver for the score in the right corner of the end zone.

With 2:10 left, ONU recovers the onside.  Should be over since CAP's out of TO's.

ONU scores.  31-14.

Good game Bears.

Hope Cap can get the win next week.  I'll take 7-3 with 3 tough losses.  It's a bit of a disappointment, but considering 5-5 last year and how far we've come in the last 10 years...

Got to keep it in perspective.  ;D

As I type Cap adds another TD to make it 31-21 with 2 mins left.  Still...

Tough, tough day for Assmann.  Only 98 passing yards until this last drive.

Contrasting that to Simmons' day, he has 163 passing and 112 rushing with 3 rush TDs.  He was the difference.

ONU taking a knee, Cap can't stop the clock.

Hope ONU can get in.  I think they deserve a shot.

Field position was the name of the game all day long.  CAP couldn't pin ONU deep at all today.

Does anyone have an update on OTT/MUC?  The scoreboard score is stuck on 14:44 left in the 4th and he live stats appear to be "unlive" and frozen.  I need to know if they cover!  LOL

Plus, I can't recall a 3 and out possession for ONU all day.  Every time Cap would get close, ONU would answer.  Cap couldn't keep "MO" on their side of the field.

Don't know the spread, but the final was a 58-7 MUC win.
Last, and late, score was a long TD run by an all-star in waiting.

Mount wins 58-7

Well I knew they'd win.  I needed to know if they'd cover.  Good job Raiders.  I'm trying to stay in first here!!!
