hscoach, how are you doing?  I borrowed your quote about easily offended people this morning because it seems that I offended someone from ncwc when I described them as mediocre and not very good.  I can give some insight into your next opponent, monclair state.  they were not very good when I saw them get beat by wilkes in week one.  I was not impressed by either side of the ball.  They are not very big or fast and unless they have improved greatly will not likely be much of a challenge.  I have also seem Delval play 3 times this year and I will give some insight on them if both mount and delval win this weekend.  good luck this week and I may be seeing you guys in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the compliment, we like being overlooked. A lot of things have changed since the Wilkes game. Remember what happened in your place a few years ago. ;)

If you're addressing Wesleydad please let the rest of us know what happened at Wesley a few years ago.  If you  thought you were addressing a Mount Union fan then please rest assured your team will not be overlooked.

Sorry, I was addressing wesleydad. Week #3 of 2007 Montclair was ranked #24 and Wesley was ranked #7. We went to their house and beat them 27-26.

Anybody worth their salt would not overlook an oponent. We are coming to play the #1 team in the country and this will be a huge test for the Montclair program. The only way your program improves is to play the best and that is what we will be doing this Saturday.

We have a good "D" and I can't wait to see how we do against Mount Union. Our "O" is very Jeckle and Hyde, but has been improving each of the past (3) games against Rowan, Kean and MEM. Be assured we will come to play. Looking forward to the experience.

Now I need some help. I will arrive Friday in N.Canton around 3:00PM and stay at the Microtel. I purchased a ticket on paypal. Should I go to the AD on campus to get my ticket or show this at the game. I think it is a 30 minute ride to Mount Union. Will I have time to go to the hall of fame? I will leave early Sunday morning. Your advise would be appreciated.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Following the Purple Raiders for many years, I can say with absolute assurance that Mount Union overlooks no team.  Coach Larry Kehres respects each and every opponent and assumes every opponent will play their best game.

You can buy your ticket the game, Go to the front gate of the stadium.

If you want  to go to the Hall of Fame in Canton, you will need at least
two hours there to see it all and they close at around  5 PM on Saturday, but you should verify.

Coming to play Mount will be a great experience and the atmosphere is one of the best in the country. You will enjoy it and Coach Kehres will have his players ready for MSU.

You are correct about 30 minutes from the hotel to Alliance, use Rt. 62 heading east, look for the signs.

I've never purchased a ticket on line but the procedure appears to be the same as a telephone order.

Pick up your ticket on Friday between Noon and Three at the McPhearson Academic and Athletic Complex located directly accross the street from the  Main (South) gate of Mount Union Stadium, or Saturday morning begining at 10:30 at the Will Call window at the Maiin Gate.

If I were you I'd try to get it on Friday so if there is any confusion it can be taken care of .  Bring your Pay Pal receipt.

Have a safe trip and enjoy your stay.

the Hall of Fame is one or two exits south of the Microtel..It is open 9-5 Friday, Sat, and Sun...Friday will be a crazy day there as it is free kids friday.  The place will be over run with ruggers and you won't get optimum viewing

It is usually a two to three hour visit at the Hall for serious fans, however, an hour and a half can do if you dont dawdle..

You may be best served to get to the Hall at opening On Sat and head for Mount by 11AM...although you will miss the pregame tailgate and parking may be premium... However, I do not see a large crowd for this game.  There was only 2300 yesterday.

Thanks everyone for the info. Someone mentioned that there was a huge buffet before the game. Is this true?

With a noon game start, you will not have much time for the Hall of Fame
and the buffet at the Hoover-Price campus Center. If you can make it, it is
well worth it! Remember you are 30 minutes from the Hall of fame to the
Mount campus.

They finally understand my ticket buying policy. Since I never sit down, I ask for the worst seat they have. Yesterday I got Section 18 Row A Seat 12. Front row on the south goal line. Given the foot traffic and concession stand, they don't get any worse than that.

Raiderpa,

I followed the game via gamecast, since it was not on TV for us.

PC had 6 catches for 108 with a big 66 yarder. He was a big factor for them on one of Peyton's not so great days.

The brunch buffet is definitely worth it.  Good food and friendly conversation.  Even for the enemy fans.

My belt says I've hit it way too many times over the years.............
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Found out today that one of the guys I've been playing basketball with at the gym for 3 and a half years was QB @ Augustana from 83 to 87.  We talked about his time there, being part of three of the four teams and his senior season seeing the 48 game streak snapped and how "9-1 was a disappointing season."
