Sorry for the triple post, but had to ask this question, especially since I am an honorary Otter (until tomorrow- our bet was for a month and the Cap-Ott game was Oct 24th)

Eric Yates was 2007 1st team all OAC, 2008 2nd Team, and 2009 HM

Doesn't it usually go the other way?

I kinda feel sorry for the kid.

The problem with Yates is that he was also stuck in the backfield with 1st Team All-OAC running back Colton Coy. Yates graduated HS the same year I did so I'm just happy his body was able to make it through another season. I was surprised Rowely didn't get on the 1st team. OC only had one guy on offense and 2 guys on defense (including Gendron on Special Teams.) Hell, 4-6 Heidelberg had 4. Kind of a shocker. I told you the OAC was still mad at us for losing to Marietta.

JK, I'll miss having you around as a fellow Cards fan. I hope you enjoyed your 2nd month as much as you did the first!!

Kyle  Simmons of Ohio Northern was the first team all OAC QB.

Simmons was also the recipient of the 2009 Bob Packard Most Outstanding Offensive Back award.

New Poll, stole the idea from the MIAC board.  ;)

There wasn't an option for Montclair State winning back in August when RaiderGuy, Lenny and I were standing on the hill watching QB prospects.

As I remember, my only regret that day was watching Carpenter boom punts thinking, Nobody 8) may ever see this.

reality check

If the first team offense was only going to have 3 RB's I could understand overlooking D'Andrea but since they have four first-team RB's, why would he get relegated to second team as a 1000 yard back and only the second in CAP history???  I don't dislike Lewis from the Berg but he and D'Andrea should be flipped.

According to their website, Montclair State University has 17,645 students.
I wonder how many of them will be in Alliance this Saturday.

Why did you pick 37?  Reminds me of a memorable scene from the Movie "Clerks":

W&J had a nice student turnout Saturday. Enthusiastic too! Their mistake was engaging the MUC fans on the pressbox side. ;) They somehow disappeared for the second half though. I sure missed em too. :P
I wish LK would let that Jasper whats his name kid return a few more kicks back. He looks like a real threat to me in what little we got to see of him. We dont need to bang up the receivers needlessly either. I wish the game started in the evening so I could attend after work. Holiday work schedules suck!

I wish they lasted past 1:30. I knew when I saw Big Mike headed for his car before the half, it was time to go home a break out the leaf blower.

They didn't have a lot of chances to return the Hammer's 1st down banter. 8 times if memory serves

The 182nd ranked offense against the Number 2 ranked defense? Why isn't there an option for "Phone it in" 8)

Nice.  A Clerks reference.  Funny since you bring it up, I remember the scene now.  The one in which Dante and his girlfriend are discussing their um...pasts.

and once it dawned on me what scene you were talking about, there was no way I could watch your video link at work, btw...

Everyone updates on D3 players in the NFL.
Well, a guy named Andy Studebaker? from Wheaton had his first start for the KC Chiefs in the NFL Sunday against the Steelers. Highlights. 2 INT's. One he picked in the end zone as the Steelers were going for a TD. He ran it back to the 5 yard line. Almost the same play as James Harrison's pick in the Super Bowl for a TD.

Great to see a D3 player player have success. Boo for a Pittsburgh lose.
