We will be watching the Wesley game tomorrow,,Have seen them a few times this year,,  a possible match up with MUC in 2 weeks,,

Wesley has TWO tough games left before the players and staff can focus on that.   The winner of TMC/JHU will be a power running team... not sure how many times (outside of Salisbury) the Wolverines have seen that.  Johns Hopkins is impressive on film.. their Noseguard is 6'2'' 305 lbs.  I thought I was watching Tony Siragusa's little cousin.  ha

I think both teams could receive a challenge before then.  From what I've seen and read, I think Delaware Valley has a legitimate shot of at least giving Mount a game.  I've been wrong many times before, so it could be another monkey stomp, but The aggies have really come on..

Oh, and both MUC and Del Val have games to play tomorrow...  :D  -- With Albright being in Del Val's conference, anything is possible, but I think in the end it will go like the regular season game.  Unfortunately for Montclair, I don't see them being very close (Sorry Rams, just my opinion -- Prove me wrong!)

You da man. Thanks for the vote of confidence. ;) Can't wait to see the game today.

The sky in Alliance is Carolina blue.  I  walked my dogs by the stadium at 6:45 AM and the irrepressible Hammer was already set up.  Several of his merry band  joined him shortly thereafter.  He had staked out his usual position and was in full pre-game preparations; cornhole set up,grill smoking and beverages and food available. The Hammer is ready.

Ric and hscoach do such a great job with their audio broadcast.
They know football and Mount Union.
Better than most broadcasters on TV.

Listening to them is next best thing to being at the game.
Even if I was at the game, I'd want these guys in my ear.

Thanks, guys!  8)

According to Ric and hscoach on their game broadcast today, some of Montclair State adult fans showed the worst behavior they've seen at Mount Union Stadium.  To put that in perspective, Ric's attended most Mount Union games since the early 1970's.
Too bad those adult fans have to throw such a bad light on Montclair State University.

7 picks is a Mount Union team record.

I'm watching the Linfield game.  Linfield just picked up ANOTHER fumble and ran it back for a TD.  Linfield's defense is winning this game for them.  Linfield up now 40-14.

Just back to the Hotel after the game.

Everyone I met today from Mount Union were class acts. Very friendly and helpful. JT was correct about the buffet before the game. It is an event not to miss. The campus is beautiful. It was a wonderful experience. I got to meet Rascl but we could not find you Seventies. Where were you. I sat on the 50 yard line all the way on top. This MUC fan Waine was there and a real good guy. We had a lot of fun. Now down to the facts as I seen them:

The banner that states "The Machine" is well said. They are a machine and do everything perfect. If you make a mistake, you pay. We got wacked and we shot ourselves in the foot too many times. We sort of kept it in reach at half and continued to shoot ourselves in the foot. 5-6 picks against any team is not a recipt for success, especially MUC.

The Refs lost control of the game. MUC would hold (this is not sour grapes) and the refs would look the other way, leading to frustration. Waine even agreed with me. Then later in the game the refs would start to throw the flag, but it was too late. Please do not think that the refs cost us the game. They did not, but rather lost control of It. Your #11 was a thug and should have been tossed. It did not happen. I thought Coach K would have pulled the kid. Yes we did retaliate aginst #11 and it should not of happened, but the player reacted out of frustration. Then Coach K pulled him. Basically the refs caused this.

The MSU fans were getting calls about the radio announcer making dumb comments about MSU and NJ. I did not hear, but had to assume they were true. Yes 2 fans were yelling up at the booth and speaking their minds.

Congratulations to MUC, you guys are the real deal and in my opinion will be in the Stagg Bowl again. MUC is a great college and the people I met were class acts. Thanks for the experience. Next time, we owe you one.  :)

Yeah, the MSU parents weren't overly impressed by the broadcast.   That's OK though.  I wasn't overly impressed with their mouths or hand jestures.  Was a lot like Wabash except for worse language coming from adults instead of students.

Wasn't impressed by the MSU defense either.  I knew their offense was average and figured they struggle to score much, but their defense was much worse than I ever expected.  They produced very little push up front and couldn't even begin to cover Mount's receivers.  597 yards of offense against a defense that was ranked #5 against the pass and  #35 against the rush?  I figured MUC would have a big advantage at the skill positions, but I assumed we'd see a team like Cortland State that was very good up front that would make MUC really work at moving the ball.  Especially on the ground.  But that was total domination from the Mount offense.

Defensively, Mount played the rush very well but the pass defense was a little suspect for me.  I know they got a ton of INT's but most of them were terrible throws opposed to great defensive plays.  The exception to that was Cameron West's INT on the 3 yard line.  That was a thing of beauty.  The Hebert INT on the bobbled WR screen was good awareness from Herbert but again a simple mistake by the receiver.   Their starting QB Fischer made some nice throws but also sailed a couple that were easy INT's.  Then after he left in the late 3rd with a twisted ankle, the back-up QB was completely in over his head.  2 INT's and a fumble in his first handful of snaps and a comfortable lead became a blowout.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!
