Some people have the NFL ticket. So they can watch PG's games on direct tv

Hmmm so are you saying you watched it today and didn't call me?  ;D
I think LK is going to make you get a hair cut next week! LOL

I think I'll leave a message on Larry's phone about the scruffy llittle guy working the sidelines. See if we can't get him cleaned up a little   ;)

A lot of talked about the game against MSU and I decided to throw my 2 cents in. I was not there but listened to the WRMU webcast and saw the STO replay, so I missed out on all of the pressbox banter and radio stuff (although that sounds like an interesting story).

1. I think the officials did the right thing initially - they decided to let them play. That's great (we all hate ticky-tack calls deciding the game) but there is a point when the officials have to realize what is going on around them and use the whistle. They decided to use it too late and lost control of the game.

2. #11 is not a thug. I was watching for some dirty play and did not see it from Millings. Now having said this please remember that I was not there and the STO replay did not "Theissman" the sack on Fisher. I got one replay and could not see anything. The announcers (Tait and ) did not say anything about a dirty hit (and they are pretty fair in their call) so I have to assume it was just an everday hit and injuries happen.

3. I saw a lot of "questionable" play go uncalled on both sides (but MSU got away with a hell of lot more than Mount did - Mount got flagged a lot). For MSU - they had a D-lineman (92 or 44 - sorry it was really late when I was watching) that I saw on 4 consecutive plays take his right hand straight up under the facemask of Crowl (on 1) and Nicolozakes (on 3) and drive the helmet straight up. Hell on 2 he had his hand on the bottom bar of the facemask and pushed his head so far back he was looking at the coulds. This was not called once. For MSU I also saw a lot of piling on, and cheap shots away from the ball (especially late 3rd and 4th qtrs.). Mount had a few late hits that did not get called - but none that I would call cheap shots (all of them involved the ball carrier). As far as the roughing the passer - personally I thought it was close and could have just as easily been a no call.

4. The worst play I saw, and the worst display of sportsmanship, came from MSUs Gelpi (53). The shot was late and very cheap - and his celebration of the act should have gotten him tossed. For the MSU fans that may read this - he discredits your program and the effort your team put forward in this game.

As far as what was learned from this game - well Mount had some problems with coverage (yea I know 7 picks) and Fisher was able to move them with the pass. Mount did not seem to get as much pressure on the QB as they have against other teams. As odd as it sounds - I felt like Mount played sloppy (I know it was a quintuple atomic monkey stomp but even while watching it - it seemed like Mounts D was "off" and struggling. Albright could cause some problems if their QB has time to throw - they have a much better passing game than MSU. Mounts O is really starting to gel. Morring ran like a beast - and was punishing would be tacklers- that is what Mount needs in the next few weeks. Mounts WRs create a massive problem for opposing Ds. Can't focus on Cecil when 5 other guys can step in and make you pay. All Mount needs to do now is cut the penalties and keep moving on!

Sorry for the length - a bit scatterbrained at the moment.

Classy move by the Montclair coach who opened the press box window as Fischer lay on the field to yell "<bleeping> cheapshot you scumbag." He went on to drop a few more f-bombs and "converse" with the Mount fans on that side. Way to keep your cool...
If it is who I think it is.......This guy has a history of doing that. We had to shut down our crowd mike broadcasting a MSU game a couple years ago because unfortunately it was too close to him. Always found that the rest of MSU coaches, players and fans classy for the most part.

Hello Everyone on D Board3! This is my first post to the board but i just wanted to throw my two cents in about the fan behavior at the MUC games.
#1 Concerning Mount Fans in front of the press box, i do remember a certain group of guys a few years back would pick out 1 certain player from the visiting team and "taunt" him which was really uncalled for but as i have watched the past few years they HAVE toned it down.I really don't see what they do wrong these days other than "BEEP" when the visiting teams get a penalty and 1..2..3 first down when our beloved Raiders get a first down.I actually really like those guys spirit and at least someone in that section in front of the press box roots for the raiders, there is a lot of people who just sit there and do nothing.Coming to a MUC game is supposed to be fun and enjoyable for all kids and adults.
#2 For the idiot in the press box Yelling the F-Bombs out after the Millings hit, that was so idiotic an unclassy i felt sorry for the fans in that section who brought their kids and had to hear that!

I am not not trying to start any issues, I love going to the Raider games like anyone else, its exciting to root for our home team and we are very fortunate to have such a FANTASTIC team to enjoy, who knows how long this run will last.GOOOOO RAIDERS
