had a dislocated elbow in one of our youth games this year. So disgusting, we closed the press box window  :P

Sorry to hear about Panchik.  It sure didn't look good watching it live and I tried to remember which knee was previously injured.  That's a really tough break for Scott.  He was going to be vital piece of the equation if Mount was going to bring back Title #11.  However Zac Lemmon is up to the challenge.  With Morring's history of injuries, I wouldn't want all my eggs in his basket either.

A dislocated elbow is one of the ugliest injuries I've ever seen and hope to never see up close again.  It happened to a scout-team D-lineman in practice my senior HS year and it was plain nasty.  Half the team was puking and the rest where ghost white.    Not a good reason to be cutting practice short >:(
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

From a guy whose had 5 knee surgeries, I'm sad to here about Panchik's other knee. Hard to wait so patiently and then get your time cut short. OK, I guess it's Zac Lemon time. Saw some impressive moves from him in the W&J scrimmage. He may be a little quicker to the hole than either Terrence or Panchik.

I had two ACL's redone in college. I feel for the guy and anyone else who has a season cut short due to a blown knee. Not a fun injury at all. The 6-8 months of rehab is also terrible. My right knee is now bone on bone and I'm only 24. Should be fun to deal with when I get older (didn't want to offend anyone by putting down an age to describe 'old'   :))

ditto... but I only had my left one while in college.  It absolutely sucks now that I'm 32.   You shouldn't look forward to it, OO.

Hate to interrupt the pity party our two pretty-boy QB's are having about their injuries, but...

AM I the only one here who never missed a game because of injury?  Not pee-wee, Jr. High, HS, or College.  Wusses...

;D

On the dislocated elbow thing... ouch.  I can only imagine how bad that is, because I hyperextended my elbow my Jr. Year at Cap.  That hurt more than enough, thank you.

I was playing Guard.  It was a pass play, and I was responsible for checking blitz on the LB on my side because our center was covered with a DT.  On the snap he didn't come, so I turned out to help my Tackle with the DE.  As soon as I turned out, the LB came on a delayed blitz.  I had over-committed outside to help, so the best I could do was reach out with my right arm and grab the LB as he ran by.  I got my arm all the way across his chest and got him by the shoulder pads.  Our FB's responsibility in blitz pick up was outside- in on this play, so I wasn't expecting help, but he stepped up inside and picked up the LB right as I grabbed him.  He (our FB) hit me between the elbow and shoulder and the bottom of my arm continued forward with the blitzing LB.  THat SERIOUSLY hurt.  Trainers said I could have easily dislocated it, but I got it out of that pushing in opposite directions situation in enough time.  I can only imagine how much worse it would have felt if the joint would have popped.

I happened to be standing along the sideline when they brought the WR over to the trainers with the dislocated elbow.  One of his teammates came over and said: "Dude, we need you back."  To which he responded:  "It's dislocated....I'm done....It's over".  It was sort of sad......I witnessed the end of this young man's game, season, and career (I think he's a senior).  He plopped down on the trainer's table and turned to look into the stands for his parents......

I think the WR was a soph..#81 right?  So he should have a few more seasons, but gross none the less.

Glad to hear that it wasn't the end of his "career"....yeah, it was pretty gross to see him walk to the trainer's table holding his arm.  The "fun part" was when the trainers started attempting to put it back in place  :o

For inspiration LK should have Chuck Moore come in and give a speach, then show the replay of the highschool finals where he competed in the game with a torn ACL and survived several overtimes in the process. Thats insanely tough.
Mt Rushmore is not as hard as Chuckie Moore! :o I say let Jud Lutz reprise his fullbacking days and watch all the backs pound it for 100 yards. I just hope it doesnt snow for the game.

One of my proudest processions is a tape of that game. Kids now can't believe how totally Mogadore was out of that game at halftime, and how shear guts and adrenaline got Chuck through that game. It is rightly included in the book, 100 Greatest Ohio High School Football games.

FEET and ARMS. I'm a walking ad to avoid field events in track if your planning on living past 50. Hopefully Judd Lutz isn't reading this
