Sorry to hear about Panchik.  It sure didn't look good watching it live and I tried to remember which knee was previously injured.  That's a really tough break for Scott.  He was going to be vital piece of the equation if Mount was going to bring back Title #11.  However Zac Lemmon is up to the challenge.  With Morring's history of injuries, I wouldn't want all my eggs in his basket either.

A dislocated elbow is one of the ugliest injuries I've ever seen and hope to never see up close again.  It happened to a scout-team D-lineman in practice my senior HS year and it was plain nasty.  Half the team was puking and the rest where ghost white.    Not a good reason to be cutting practice short >:(

Feel bad about Scott Panchik, ending his senior year injured.

For the Raiders, Zac Lemmon will be a key with morring for these final
games. He has the size speed and moves of a early Nate.

In these final games, I believe Coach Kehres will look for balance on offense.  I like others on this board are concerned about the defensive aggressiveness especially if the Raiders see UWW again. The soft approach
for coverage and 3 DL will not be successful against a great team. I am hopeful that Coach Kehres and Kehres will adapt.

Thanks for your participation in posting and support over on our MIAA board.  Good luck to your Mount Raiders the rest of the way, although I doubt they'll need it. ;)

How bad will Witt get hammered?

It was a lot of fun listening to LK coach the young players late in the game .  Some great one-liners like "Tyler..what the hell are you doing?"  and   "BLOCK that guy."   The volume was 9 on a 10 scale .  A good reason to stick around after the starters go out is see and HEAR  LK in full  head football coach mode.  Panchic had a great year and a fine career.  He played a big part in the Raiders winning the OAC, pounding JCU and BWC,among others, and getting the Purples to 12-0.  He's blue now but he will be back to purple soon. He had a big year, and he's not done contributing to this team.

HScoach's point spread is very realistic if one assumes the following:

1. Witt is playing at UWW, a huge advantage for UWW    6 pts.

2. Witt has not this far in the playoffs in awhile              5 pts.

3. UWW is the most balanced team Witt has faced          7 pts

4. Only top defensive plays (turnovers) by UWW will
help, but they do not turn it over.                            7 pts.

5. Ball control by UWW and a tired Witt defense              7 pts.

Having said the above, for Witt to be competitive they will need to score early and limited big plays and clock time for UWW. Their defense has the potential to keep it close it everything lines up in their favor, but it will not!

You left out an important factor:

Based on schedules and player sizes, IWU is probably better than Witt (guess we'll never know for sure ;)).  UWW hammered IWU by 38.

I had no trouble picking UWW with HScoach's spread.

Given that this sentence is extremely problematic, Witt s/b happy if UW-Walmart doesn't put a 70 spot on them

Anyone catch the story on Jake Olsen on ESPN tonight?  He's a kid who lost both his eyes due to cancer.  He is sharp kid and was taken in by SC with Pete Carroll.

Part 1 of the stories for Jimmy V week on the four letter network.  His outlook on his future is touching because of how positive he is.

I'll be shocked if UWW puts up 70 on Witt.  I see it being more like 45-0.

Great story.....saw it this morning on ESPN.  As much as I want to hate USC (see: OSU), it's difficult with stories like this.  The offensive center for USC who took Jake on as a friend (and snuck into the hospital on surgery day) has all the qualities of a fine young man.

I love these stories by ESPN......even though it's tough to do the elliptical when you're crying.

LOL, I'd love to see a 70 spot.

They aired that on Saturday during College Game Day.  I was watching it with my wife in the room and when it was starting I knew I was going to shed some tears.  I agree with the C from USC.  What a great kid!

Acky

I saw part of the story.  It is very difficult for me to watch as I have been fighting Lymphoma for the past two years.
I hate the thought of anyone having to go through the whole cancer ordeal.
