I didn't see any quit in any of the guys on the field, from start to finish. They stayed with it, even when it had to be a little painful.

Did we see the same game? They didn't execute, they did even look like they cared after the second play, but I will say the Albright safety played his heart out. I'm thinking, that they figured they could throw the ball over our small DB's, but they over threw the 50% that weren't directly at a Mount defender.

The hogs clearly smelled blood and stepping up into "the pocket" proved to be the kiss of death for Albright. We can be polite all we want, but these three games have done nothing to get Mount ready for the semi's or the Stagg. It's been like playing Marietta three more times. We were sloppy and not very focused today. (And won by 52, bitch, bitch, bitch)

I have to agree. The game Mount played today won't beat Whitewater and maybe not Wesley.  Hopefully it's out of the Raiders' system.

How overwhelming is it to come play at Mount Union and then come out of the locker room and have the Goodyear blimp circling the field?

Drew McClain runs an interception back for a TD and the blimp flies away like someone pulled the plug out of Albright's balloon.

The way the Raiders played today wouldn't have beaten Otterbein, Ohio Northern or Capital either.   Not the prettiest of games by Mount today.   I can't imagine LK is going to be very happy with that performance.  Sometimes a defender will make a great play to create a turnover but that wasn't the case today.  Mount was simply sloppy with the ball.  Two horrible throws by Rocco early and then bad fumbles by Lemmon and Morring.

Only good thing I took from this game offensively was the fact that Rocco settled down after the two early INT's and played great after that.  But it's hard to judge it too much because the Albright defense didn't put up much fight.

I was hoping for more of a challenge from the Albright offense, but that was pretty ugly.  I suspected their defense to be average at best, but really thought they'd score in the 14-20 range with the passing game they came in with.

Outside of WR Nate Romig and CB Brett Gaul, Albright didn't show much.  Those were the only two Albright players that would crack the 2-deep at Mount.   Romig was very quick and would make a killer slot receiver playing inside of Cecil Shorts.   And Gaul covered Shorts well and was a very sure tackler in the open field.  Besides those two guys, forget it.

You don't sugar coat it.  I like that.  The reason I know?  My buddy Goebel was at MUC today and said the same thing you did.

Look forward to next Friday with my buddies at MUC.

My thoughts on the blimp.. If a team comes in looking at a blimp overhead they are morons.  The blimp didn't overwhelm anyone today.  The team did..

Thanks for your candid perspective.  You guys are the eyes and ears for many Mount fans across the country.

Who was the singer who sang the National Anthem at the Stagg Bowl last year?  He did a mini concert in the parking lot prior to the game also.

If my memory is correct, it is the same guy who sang the National Anthem at the ACC Championship game tonight (James Otto).

If I am correct, that is a pretty big leap from the Stagg Bowl to the ACC Championship in one year.

Thanks  a lot  to all of aprof's little internet friends for you words of encouragement. I really appreciate the camaraderie that comes along with this board Quick excerpt of today's game. The "D" stepped in up in a BIG way today. I was yelling at the blimp to get the HELL out of here. It was bad karma. We don't get recognized by the national media for two more weeks. After all it is just a 1/2 step above high school ball.
Our get together tonight at Legends in NC brought out a lot of former team mates. It was great to see Caniford, Grandjean (in spirit), Houseman, Packa, Firpo, and our team manager Oral Roberts. We have a very special bond that goes way beyond the football field. We weren't the most talented bunch of misfits but there was no one close to being 11 as 1 as we were, and still are. From our beginning day of practice our senior year all warm-up were done with the chant " LET'S GO 10 & 0.  And we NEVER doubted it. I am truly a blessed individual to have what I have. Billy Moore's son Jessy was there tonight he heard about our gathering at the memorial service this morning. I walked up to the bar, the last time I saw this 23 year old former soldier he was in diapers. He looks exactly like his super father. Billy is already starting to haunt us. I took my NCAA tailgate football and had everyone present sign it. It was truly a very special day all the way around. THANKS ALL

I forgot to mention Skunk is in for Friday. I can't wait to see all my little internet friends. I am signing off.

If you're finally announcing your longtime affair with Sidekick, don't bother.  It's been common knowledge for years.
