I'll say one thing about fan behavior (because I haven't seen it --- was in press box) but I've heard ALOT about it.

My buddy, John, was up at Mount vs Albright..  he said some of the fans were annoying (alot like Cartel, but alas, Cartel is a Thiel guy).  I simply told him to stay away from Section 13.  I assumed thats where he was.   Never got an answer on if that were the case..... but thats one little conversation from an alum of a team that has never lost to MUC in Alliance  ;D.  Yes, ok, so they haven't ever played ---- still sounds good.

Visitors to Alliance should go to the Naborhood, a bar across the street from the other place.  The food is much, much better and there are pix of all the national championship teams on the wall. The people at the "Hood" are long time fans of the Raiders, not newly seated bandwagon jumpers.

I'm a big fan of the 'Hood.  I usually stop by when I go to Alliance.  Great bar food and cheap booze.

Congratulations to the Mount Union Purple Raiders on their dominating victory on Saturday. We had a little different experience at the Perk. I will be posting my interpretation of what I saw  within the next couple of days, but here is a game account of the UWW-Wittenberg game for those of you interested.

You people!   :o

We are going to the Wing Warehouse, because that is where we went for the two previous years.  You DO NOT screw with the karma!  (Geesh...do I have to explain this...)

The Hood is an institution that has stood the test of time, and more than a few ummm.......underage indiscretions.   ;D  I spent quite a bit of time in there in the 90's, and have made a few pit stops over the past couple of weeks.

WING WAREHOUSE........FRIDAY........7 PM!  Saintsfan is buying, and will use his unbelievable talent-scoping skills to amaze and impress all of us local old guys.   ;)

I am an alumnus of the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. My team has had to watch Mount Union win DIII Championship after Championship. Now, after watching Pierre Garcon's play this year, I now understand why we (and many others) have had such trouble with them. Pierre has definitely established that he is a fit as a Colts' receiver. Keep it up and make DIII proud.

Me, too.  And, to add to the positives (for me at least) it is stumbling distance from my Mom's house!  No DUI for me, thanks.

Thanks Theaprof,
Could not have said it better. My choice of seats just happens to be in section 13, along with some long time, very good fans of MUC. I repeat, we are fans, not fools like some others that get caught up in all the childlike bull pattie stuff. You will never see any of these so called Super fans at an away game or the Stagg, they don't go. I think they never received much attention at home, so they come to the game to be the center of attention. The bad thing is the playpen keeps getting bigger. If I could pick their seats, I'd put them in the end zone and they could do as they like.

I'll try and get to the warehouse on Friday, but have a family thing with Mom & Dad, Bro's & Si's at 6:30. If it's not too late, I may swing by and see if anyone is still around. Too many conflicts at the wrong time this week, but hope to see you there. :(

GOOOO RAIDERS !!

In regards to Hammer and His Merry Band of Idiots.......

I think it's a total non-issue.  Everyone is responsible for their own behavior, and things have a way of working out.  Those guys bring a lot of enthusiasm to what is sometimes a dull crowd, so it's fine with me.  I think more problematic is that the Purple Suit guys just HAVE to go down in front of the opposing team's cheering section.  Now I also file that under "part of the college experience", but it has created a few interesting exchanges over the past few years.   ;D

Tell me about it...I'm 31 and I've been going to the Hood for over 25 years!  Of course that was because my grandparents lived on Shunk and Grandpa would take me there for Pepsis and pretzel rods while he had his PBRs.  Trust me when I say that it's an odd feeling having such a sentimental attachment to a place like that.

Cleveland Cartel

Saints fan,

I was near section 13 last saturday. However, I made it a point to go around the stadium to check out different views and the venue. Section 13 was the worst, followed by the MUC fans that were on the metal stands in the endzone. I would agree with a post earlier that I never heard any cursing from Section 13. But The endzone it was mostly students and younger MUC alumni and there was lots of F bombs beign dropped. It's what you would expect with any student section and students who have been drinking since 8. I thought the parents section under the roof were very well mannered fans and respected. They obviously cheered their team on all day, did not have chants, no cursing, and were very friendly. Not a bad seat in the entire stadium. Great venue to watch a game. The question is, do you want to listen to the chants from the fans in section 13.

Someone mentioned #25 for Albright dropping some F bombs towards the stands that did happen as the players can easily hear the section 13 chants. As for a kid from WJ suckering a player...Never heard about that incident but I could imagine being down 40-0 at half, not having a first down, not crosing the 50 yard line all game, all this leads to an unhappy WJ Player.

Purplesuit,
There's no doubt in my mind MUC has the best talent in D3 to win another championship this year. There's no doubt in my mind that they have the coaching in place to win another championship this year. I guess saturday was different because of the amount of turnovers as you've stated, but if they have 4 to 5 turnovers again to a talented team that can stay closer to MUC in team speed it will be interesting. If MUC doesn't have many turnovers and is able to force them like they did Saturday. The game will be put away by the third quarter. That strip on MUC's RB was slick I was right there for it. Seeing what MUC had done in the past witih Kmic and with this back is night in day.Watching the deep passes caught by Vince Petrzuello and  Cecil Shorts was a thing of beauty. As soon as they caught it nobody was catching them. Your DEnd's were just nasty and the DB's I thought played better than any other unit.

Weather for Saturday says high of 35 and sunny similar to what it was last sunday. Another beautiful day of Football in Ohio. I expect MUC to continue to work their artwork through the Air.

I think it was a W&J fan punching a MUC fan, no players involved.  justaraiderfan2 could you clarify please?

Evidentally, When #25 dropped the F Bomb last week towards the fans that was ok, or for the Coach from Montclair drop the F bomb with kids in the stands that was ok, or the Kid from W-J that Suckerd Punched a MUC fan thats ok.

Dammit HSC!  You just HAD to ruin our "big announcement"!   ;D

I think the four semi-finalists are clearly the best four teams by a pretty fair amount.  There have been years when that wasn't really true.  I am concerned that since we haven't been tested in recent weeks, we may not be ready for a big, physical, fast team.  I think this game will be a barn-burner, and the only thing I am unsure of is how Wesley will respond when coming to Alliance to face "The Machine".

How did the blimp end up over the stadium anyway?  Was that a Terry's Tire Town special?

Jr. wants to come Friday night so he can see all my "little internet friends".  I told him he's not allowed because he might score all of Saintsfans potential chicks.  Here's hoping the talent is as good as the wings!   ;)

Pat?  Keith?  Are any of you guys coming to town Friday night?

Keith will be in Alliance. I don't yet know his itinerary.

Reliable source says Stoonk chartered the Blimp in Carson Ca. to fly to Alliance Ohio to float over his " Los Purple Raiders" to see game live!
