It is hard to know what the NCAA will decide, ever.  I have noticed two things about their decision making,
1. It is inconsistent, at best.
2.  They do not seem to give a crap about the student/athlete...

It was my understanding that filing for your medical redshirt had to be done at the end of that seasons, not 3 years later. Is this not true?

I downloaded the DIII Manual and I didn't see any requirements on "When" the Medical Hardship Waiver form had to be filled out.  I assume it must be done prior to the 5 year period of time to use an athletes 4 years of eligibility is up.

I hate how loose DIII eligibility is. People can pull an extra year out of thin air. I'm not referring to the two players mentioned from MUC, I'm just saying in general. It's impossible to track. There just so many guys coming in each year. Transfers that have redshirts and some that don't. I work in college admissions now and it so hard to juggle guys that come from different schools. I look at some of their transcripts and they might have two other DIII schools that they had already attended. I really don't get how there were so many guys that I graduated HS with in '04 (yes, I know I'm young) that were on OAC rosters this past season. Hell, even a guy from '03. Sorry, just me venting... I'll let the MUC fans get back to this weekends game. Keep representing the OAC well!

Colts No. 1 WR, Reggie Wayne, is 6'0" 198 lbs.
9 yr (former) Colts great Marvin Harrison is 6'0" 185 lbs.  Harrison was quick as a cat.
Of course, having Peyton Manning throwing you the ball doesn't hurt.
Pierre is one of the luckiest guys in the world playing for the Colts.  Not many organizations as good as the Colts.  Lucas Oil Stadium is a great venue too.  Home games there are great.

Promise this is last Colts post this week!  ;)
(I get these emailed to me.)
Good article on Pierre stepping up to opportunities coming his way.

One of your old Cardinals went to my high school, graduating in 1997.  His final football season was therefore 1996.  I believe he was a non-starter through high school and even played JV some as a SR.  He somehow finished his career at Otterbein in 2004.  You do the math there.  D-III can make for some strange stories and circumstances for sure.

Is there anyone that has seen both Mount and Wesley play this year?  If so, I would like to hear your opinion about the upcoming semi-final ball game between the two schools.  Also, Ric will you be doing a Tale of the Tape for this game?

beenhit2hard has seen Wesley play a few times this year and also has a pretty good idea about Raider Football.

I wasn't excluding OC from doing the same thing. I said DIII in general. My brother was a senior this past season and he walked on senior day with guys that I played on all-star teams in hs. every school has guys on their rosters that seem like they are only the Van Wilder plan for college. I just don't get how they get to play football that long and how red shirts are handed out like candy.

By the way, '04 was my freshmen year at OC... who is this player you speak of?!?

PGarcon's success in his rookie year should have some type of draft/scouting impact on Cecil.

this guy's killing me.  Pierre is not a rookie.  any other facts that you would like to spit out?

If 09 Wesley is anything like its 05 and 06 team, MUC will have its starters out by half..

...By the way, bring a cannon to the game...Wesley fans/coaches/players LOVE that  ::)

That's much better than the "poking" SaintsFAN tried on RC during their trip this summer to Ada. ;)
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

"Pierre Garçon has arrived. 99 receiving yards... IN THE FIRST QUARTER! Holy Mount Union, Batman! The kid finished with 136 for the day and averaged, AVERAGED!, 22.7 yards a catch. He did not see the endzone on Sunday"
