Theres a pretty solid MLB coming from Ocala, Florida. He played at Trinity Catholic High School. Pretty solid player. Big Kid. Fills the gap pretty good.

The Raiders have done very well in Florida in the past few years, maybe the trend will continue. They have been top players as well! :)

As RC stated on 1/28"I'm glad it makes their day  to ding my karma," I am starting to feel the same way. Some spineless sap has been doing the same thing to me for weeks.

Karma wacker, your oppinion means nothing to me. I contribute to this board in a positve way. If you have an issue with my posts, stand up and be counted. Its easy to stand in the shadows and throw stones.

Mount does a good job attracting FL kids.  Some good players would rather go D3 and win than go to a bigger program and not.  Can't imagine a kid from OTC will qualify for much grant in aid $$.  More likely either paying the way or getting academic scholarship.

70's, Where to you get your info? I've never heard of Woo's desire to move to DII.

Athletic recruiters. Came up in the same breath as Malone and Walsh, from someone in the position to know.

After the Mount coaches had watched the Norwich highlight tape he'd sent them showing him impersonating a black athlete, huh?  :P

Picked this off of youtube tonight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxUbuQMfE8A
Kinda cool to see Pierre getting all this attention.....just hope he has a huge game so people keep paying attention! Not an unreal game just a great game. Maybe 9 receptions, 200+ yds., 2 TD, 3 rushes for another 60 and a TD - throw a TD to Reggie - MVP......just a good game. That's all.  ;D

BTW: I am still burned about the Stagg. Posted yesterday for the 1st time since the Stagg cause I am still upset about several things. However, if I can see Pierre with the Lombardi...that may quiet me a bit. I will wait til this is over to bring up Stagg stuff. Have a great, and safe, Superbowl. Go Colts (although I am still a Steeler fan)! Go 85!!

The most recent Stagg Bowl left a lot of us shaking our heads, but PG's success has brought more attention to not only Mount Union football but D3 as well.  A national radio analyst today credited his success to his hunger overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds to set a championship game reception record.  His opinion was that PG came from Mount Union better prepared for big game success, playing in three national title games, than guys from big schools who had never played in such significant games for their programs.

Clearly, just "making the team" was never Pierre's dream. He's an old (so to speak) sprinter who knows by paying attention to the small stuff you can get a little bit better every week. He's still growing and building and importantly learning. Momma deserves a lot of credit for the basic principals she instilled in him.

He has gone after what he wanted and clearly he hasn't attained it yet. And I don't think A Super Bowl ring will do it.

I just hope Pierre stays healthy, since he has the opportunity to be a great WR in the NFL and who knows how far he can go!

Amen and possibly open the door for others in D3.

BrowardRaider

BrowardRaider happy to report that two very interested Pierre fans made it out of the snow and unplowed roads of Alliance to Fort Lauderdale beach, ran into them after the Superbowl Saturday concert last night, in other news the Mount Union t-shirt got way more attention than ever before in South Florida so the Pierre effect is in full swing. Go Colts and enjoy the game guys
